Product, Dispenser and Method of Dispensing Product

Abstract

A method for fabricating a roll of sheet product includes facilitating wrapping a sheet product material about a core to form the roll of sheet product, and applying a reference indication to a distal end of the core following the formation of the roll of sheet product.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for fabricating a roll of sheet product, the method comprising:
 facilitating wrapping a sheet product material about a core to form the roll of sheet product; and   applying a reference indication to a distal end of the core following the formation of the roll of sheet product.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the reference indication is applied to an inner surface of the distal end of the core. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the sheet product material is wrapped about an outer surface of the core. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the core is tubular. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the reference indication is formed by spraying a fluid onto the inner surface of the distal end of the core. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the reference indication includes a phosphorescent material. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the reference indication is arranged on an adhesive backed label applied to the core. 
     
     
         8 . A roll of sheet product fabricated by the method of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         9 . A system for fabricating a roll of sheet product, the system comprising:
 an application apparatus operative to apply a reference indicator to a roll of sheet product; and   a controller communicatively connected to the application apparatus, the controller operative to control the application apparatus.   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the reference indicator is applied to a distal end of an inner surface of a core of the roll of sheet product. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the system further comprises a sensor communicatively connected to the controller and operative to send a signal indicative of a position of the roll of sheet product relative to the application apparatus to the controller. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the controller is operative to receive the signal from the sensor and control a position apparatus operative to change the position of the roll relative to the application apparatus. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the controller is operative to receive the signal from the sensor and control a position of the application apparatus relative to the roll of sheet product. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 9  wherein the controller is operative to receive the signal from the sensor and direct the application apparatus to apply the reference indication to a distal end of an inner surface of a core of the roll of sheet product responsive to determining that the application apparatus is arranged proximate to the distal end of the inner surface of the core of the roll of sheet product. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the application apparatus includes a fluid spray nozzle. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the application apparatus includes an adhesive backed label applying device. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 15 , wherein the fluid spray nozzle is arranged at an oblique angle relative to a generatrix defined by the core. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the reference indicator is applied as a fluid. 
     
     
         19 . A roll of sheet product comprising:
 a tubular core having a first distal end, an inner surface, and an outer surface;   sheet product wrapped about the tubular core; and   a reference indicator arranged on the inner surface of the tubular core, proximate to the first distal end.   
     
     
         20 . The roll of  claim 19 , wherein the reference indicator includes a phosphorescent pigment. 
     
     
         21 . The roll of  claim 19 , wherein the reference indicator is arranged only proximate to the first distal end. 
     
     
         22 . The roll of  claim 19 , wherein the reference indicator is defined by a spray pattern. 
     
     
         23 . The roll of  claim 19 , wherein the reference indicator is arranged on an adhesive backed label.
