Abstract
An improved lacrosse stick design and method of using same providing, inter alia, (1) an extendable lacrosse stick, (2) a quick release head/stick design, (3) a method of changing the lacrosse stick head or stick length “on the fly” so as to avoid leaving the playing field, and (4) a method of changing a lacrosse head or stick length without the use of any tools.

1 . The lacrosse shaft made from a composite mixture of materials comprising at least the combination of a metal and carbon fiber.
2 . The lacrosse shaft according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon fiber materials are at least about 40% of the mixture.
3 . The lacrosse shaft according to claim 1 , wherein the metal material comprises less than about 25% of the mixture.
4 . The lacrosse stick having a shaft portion made from a composite mixture containing carbon fiber.
