Abstract
A food storage system including an ovenable tray storing a food product therein and an ovenable bag entirely receiving the tray and food product therein.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A food storage system comprising:
an ovenable tray storing a food product therein; and an ovenable bag entirely receiving the tray and food product therein.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein said tray and said bag are both able to withstand up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes without melting or loss of integrity.
3 . The system of claim 1 wherein said tray and bag are both dual ovenable such that said tray and said bag are both able to withstand up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes without melting or loss of integrity and are able to withstand microwaving by a 1000 Watt microwave operating at full power for 5 minutes without melting or less of integrity.
4 . The system of claim 1 wherein said tray and said bag are both entirely made of polymer materials.
5 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag is generally closed with said tray therein.
6 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag has an opening at a distal portion thereof, and wherein said distal portion is folded below said tray.
7 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag is not directly secured to said tray.
8 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag is made of a generally air impermeable material.
9 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag is made of a generally moisture vapor impermeable material.
10 . The system of claim 1 wherein said food product is a meat or protein food product.
11 . The system of claim 1 wherein said food product is a meat or protein food patty.
12 . The system of claim 1 wherein said food product is frozen.
13 . The system of claim 1 wherein said food product is fully cooked.
14 . The system of claim 1 wherein said food product is partially cooked.
15 . The system of claim 1 wherein said bag has greater flexibility than said tray.
16 . A food storage system comprising:
an ovenable tray storing a food product therein; and an ovenable bag entirely receiving the tray and food product therein, wherein said bag is not directly secured to said tray, wherein said tray and bag are both dual ovenable such that said tray and said bag are both able to withstand up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes without melting or loss of integrity and are able to withstand microwaving by a 1000 Watt microwave operating at full power for 5 minutes without melting or less of integrity.
17 . A method for preparing a food product comprising:
accessing an ovenable tray storing a food product therein, wherein the tray is entirely positioned in an ovenable bag; heating the food product while the food product is positioned in the tray and the ovenable bag; removing the bag from covering said food product; and placing the tray and food product into a food storage and dispensing device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
