Method and system for releasably attaching bedding cover to bed sheet

Abstract

A method and system for releasably attaching a bedding cover to a bed sheet using fasteners such that the bedding cover and bed sheet do not separate. One or more fasteners may be used to fasten the bedding cover to the bed sheet and the fasteners may be placed in various locations where the bedding cover and bed sheet overlap. The fasteners may include magnets, VELCRO®, buttons, and the like. The bedding cover may be a comforter, blanket, quilt or some other material. In one embodiment, a magnet or a set of magnets may be placed over the bedding cover or over a bed sheet folded over the bedding cover, and another magnet or set of magnets may be placed under the bed sheet in the same area as the first magnet or set of magnets to fasten the bed sheet to the bed cover.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for releasably attaching a bedding cover to a bed sheet, the method comprising:
 (a) placing the bedding cover in a position such that it overlies the bed sheet and the longitudinal axis of the bedding cover and bed sheet are parallel; and   (b) using at least one fastener to attach the bedding cover to the bed sheet such that the bed cover and bed sheet do not easily separate or move relative to each other.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one fastener includes two sets of complementary magnets. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein said set of magnets comprises a grouping of a plurality of magnets; 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the at least one set of magnets is placed in a pocket sewn into the bedding cover. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the at least one set of magnets is sewn into the bedding cover. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the bedding cover is a comforter. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the bedding cover is a blanket or quilt. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one fastener includes a complimentary button and hole fastener. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one fastener includes a complementary hook and eye fastener. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one fastener includes VELCRO®. 
     
     
         11 . A bedding cover and sheet combination, comprising:
 (a) a bed cover positionable on a bed to cover the bed;   (b) a bed sheet to cover the bed;   (c) fasteners that releasably attach the bedding cover and bed sheet in generally overlying positional relation to each other where the longitudinal axis of the bed cover and bed sheet are parallel for use to cover the bed; and   (d) where the fasteners are magnets.   
     
     
         12 . The combination of  claim 11 , wherein the cover is a comforter. 
     
     
         13 . The combination of  claim 11 , wherein the cover is a blanket or quilt.
