Abstract
An optical aiming device for aiming a shot gun which upon firing a shot provides a shot pattern, the optical aiming device comprises a base part having a longitudinal extension, a distal and proximal end and including means for attaching the aiming device to the shot gun. The optical aiming device further has a mirror or lens having a maximum height and a maximum width. A light source being arranged to project light on the mirror or lens, wherein the mirror or lens is arranged to reflect or redirect at least parts of the light in a first direction. The projected light forms a reticle.

provides a shot pattern, said optical aiming device comprising; a base part having an extension, a distal and a proximal end and comprising means for attaching said aiming device to said shot gun; a mirror or lens having a maximum height and a maximum width, a light source, said light source being arranged to project light on said mirror or lens, wherein said mirror or lens is arranged to reflect or redirect at least parts of said light in a first direction, said projected light forming a reticle; wherein that said reticle defines a target area and in that said target area corresponds to the shot pattern at a predetermined distance from said transparent mirror or lens, and in that said optical aiming device is adapted to be positioned adjacent said aiming bridge of said shotgun.
2 . The optical aiming device according to claim 1 , wherein said predetermined distance is 20 meters.
3 . The optical aiming device according to claim 1 , wherein said reticle has a substantially circular form having a height and a width.
4 . The optical aiming device according to claim 1 , wherein said maximum height of said mirror is set as a function of the height of the reticle.
5 . The optical aiming device according to claim 4 , wherein said maximum height is 3-10 times the height of the reticle.
6 . The optical aiming device according to claim 1 , wherein said maximum width of said mirror or lens is set as a function of the width of the reticle.
7 . The optical aiming device according to claim 6 , wherein said maximum width is 3-10 times the width of the reticle.
8 . The optical aiming device according to claim 1 , wherein said optical aiming device comprises a light sensor arrangement, said light sensor arrangement being adapted to measure the light at a predetermined area at said predetermined distance.
9 . The optical aiming device according to claim 8 , wherein said predetermined area is set as a function of said target area of said reticle at said predetermined distance.
