Abstract
The present invention dates to a board game in which a three piece rivalry system allows for interaction of player pieces in a battle simulation type game.

1 . A method of playing a square grid board game for two players comprising:
a) assigning the center nine tiles of the board as a home area with the four corner tiles of the home area assigned as impassable tiles and the remaining tiles on the board assigned as passable tiles, the passable tiles between the impassable tiles assigned as doorway tiles; b) assigning 3 different types of stackable game pieces to each player the pieces assigned a rival power relationship; c) assigning a predetermined equal number of each type of game piece to each player; d) assigning opposing sides of the grid to each player; e) placing a plurality of predetermined stacks of game pieces on a starting tile on each players side of the grid each stack being of the same type of game piece; f) placing a plurality of game pieces of one type off the board; g) assigning the same turn movement capabilities to all the game pieces wherein the pieces can move across tiles the number of pieces in the stack leaving a piece on each tile it passes; h) assigning the same turn merge capabilities to all pieces wherein pieces can move across tiles and combine the pieces on those tiles into a single stack; i) assigning the same turn attack capabilities to all pieces based on the rival power and size of attacking and attacked stacks of pieces; j) players taking turns either moving, merging or attacking; and k) continuing the game until one player has one of their pieces occupying all of the doorway tiles.
