Abstract

The invention relates to a roller device ( 1 ), in particular for forming a strand guiding section ( 100 ) of a casting machine, comprising a cross beam ( 30 ) and at least one roller element ( 10 ) supported on the cross beam ( 30 ) by means of roller bearings ( 20, 22 ), wherein guiding means for at least three different media are provided in the cross beam ( 30 ).

1 . Roller device ( 1 ), in particular for forming strand-guiding segments ( 100 ) of a caster, comprising a cross-beam ( 30 ) and at least one roller element ( 10 ) supported on the cross-beam by roller bearings ( 20 ,  22 ),
 characterized in that   conduct elements ( 310 ,  320 ,  330 ,  340 ,  350 ) for at least three different media are provided in the cross-beam ( 30 ), and   wherein the roller device is mountable in a frame of a caster, advantageously in a segment frame, as a pre-assembled module.

Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein a conduit element is provided, respectively, for conducting at least one of the following media: cooling medium for cooling the roller bearings ( 20 ,  22 ), cooling medium for inner cooling of the roller, lubricant medium for lubrication of the roller bearings ( 20 ,  22 ), cooling medium for secondary cooling, hydraulic medium for a hydraulic control circuit ( 342 ), compressed air medium for a pneumatic control circuit, power medium for an electrical power supply, power medium for electrical control signals, power medium for electrical measurement signals, power medium for optical measurement signals or electrical and/or optical bus system ( 352 ). 
     
     
         3 . Roller device ( 1 ), in particular, for forming strand-guiding segments ( 100 ) of a caster, comprising a cross-beam ( 30 ) and at least one roller element ( 10 ) supported on the cross-beam by roller bearings ( 20 ,  22 ),
 characterized in that   in the cross-beam ( 30 ) at least one conduit element ( 310 ,  320 ,  330 ,  340 ,  350 ) is provided, respectively, for conducting at least one of the following media: cooling medium for inner cooling of the roller, cooling medium for secondary cooling, hydraulic medium for a hydraulic control circuit ( 342 ), compressed air medium for a pneumatic control circuit, power medium for an electrical power supply, power medium for electrical control signals, power medium for electrical measurement signals, power medium for optical measurement signals or electrical and/or optical bus system ( 352 ), and   wherein the roller device is mountable in a frame of a caster, advantageously in a segment frame, as a pre-assembled module.   
     
     
         4 . Roller device ( 1 ), comprising a cross-beam ( 30 ) and at least roller element ( 10 ) supported on the cross-beam by roller bearings ( 20 ,  22 ),
 characterized in that   at least one conduit element ( 310 ,  320 ,  330 ,  340 ,  350 ) for conducting at least one medium is provided in the cross-beam ( 30 ), and the roller device is provided for forming a strand-guiding segment ( 100 ) of a caster, and   wherein the roller device is mountable in a frame of a caster, advantageously in a segment frame, as a pre-assembled module.   
     
     
         5 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 4 , wherein the at least one conduit element is provided for conducting at least one of the following media: cooling medium for inner cooling of the roller, cooling medium for secondary cooling, hydraulic medium for a hydraulic control circuit, compressed air medium for a pneumatic control circuit, power medium for an electrical power supply, power medium for electrical control signals, power medium for electrical measurement signals, power medium for optical measurement signals or electrical or optical bus system. 
     
     
         6 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 4 , wherein additional conduit elements for conducting cooling medium for bearing cooling and/or lubricant medium for lubrication of the roller bearings is provided in the cross-beam ( 30 ). 
     
     
         7 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 4 , wherein conduit elements for at least three different media are provided in the cross-beam.

Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one of conduit elements is provided in form of a bore in the cross-beam ( 30 ), in particular a deep hole bore, in form of a channel ( 52 ) in the cross-beam ( 30 ) and which is closed by a roof, in form of a re-closable channel, in form of a channel closed with silicon, in form of a medium guide extending along the cross-beam and fixedly connected therewith, and/or in form of a tubular conduit located inside the cross-beam. 
     
     
         9 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one medium connector ( 40 ) on an end side ( 32 ) of the cross-beam ( 30 ) communicates with the at least one conduit. 
     
     
         10 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one medium connector ( 42 ,  44 ) provided on a longitudinal side ( 36 ) of the cross-beam ( 30 ) communicates with the at least one conduit element. 
     
     
         11 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one medium connector ( 42 ,  44 ) provided on a rear side ( 38 ) of the cross-beam ( 30 ) communicates with the at least one conduit element. 
     
     
         12 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein the medium connectors ( 40 ,  42 ,  44 ) are formed as socket, coupling, or connector elements, in particular, as hybrid socket, water board with a gasket, connection pipe with O-rings on both sides, data bus socket. 
     
     
         13 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 12 , wherein a single socket, coupling, or connector element communicates at least two media with the cross-beam. 
     
     
         14 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 10 , wherein the medium connector is so arranged on a longitudinal side ( 36 ) of the cross-beam ( 30 ) that it can communicate with a corresponding medium connector ( 42 ,  44 ) in the cross beam of an adjacent roller device ( 1 ) and enables, in particular, a direct connection of the medium connectors in both cross-beams of corresponding conduit devices. 
     
     
         15 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one spray nozzle ( 50 ) communicating with a conduit element is provided on the cross-beam ( 30 ) for spraying a secondary cooling medium on a slab, wherein the at least one nozzle is provided, in particular, on the longitudinal side ( 34 ) of the cross-beam. 
     
     
         16 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein guide means for guiding signal conduits for different measurement data is provided in the cross-beam, in particular, for measurement of bearing force, bearing temperature, strand temperature, cooling medium temperature, flow rates, pressure, humidity. 
     
     
         17 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the cross-beam ( 30 ) has a such expansion in a cast direction that it forms, with an adjacent cross-beam of an adjacent roller device, a roof of a cooling chamber, and preferably contacts the cross-beam of the adjacent roller device substantially without any clearance. 
     
     
         18 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein the roller device is pre-fitted in a segment, its function is tested, and is aligned before the final assembly. 
     
     
         19 . Roller device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein the roller diameter of the roller element amounts to from 120 mm to 180 mm. 
     
     
         20 . A segment, in particular for a caster, comprising a segment frame, characterized in that at least two roller devices according to  claim 1  are provided on the segment frame. 
     
     
         21 . Segment according to  claim 20 , wherein socket, coupling, or connector elements for feeding media to the roller device are provided. 
     
     
         22 . Segment according to  claim 20 , wherein the segment provides a cast radius up to 4,000 mm, in particular from 3,000 to 4,000 mm. 
     
     
         23 . Segment according to  claim 20 , wherein less segment cross-beams are arranged in the segment frame than there are provided roller devices.
