Skin Collagen Enhancing Agent

Abstract

A composition includes a food ingredient or nutrient with safety and experience having been eaten for a long time and that shows a collagen enhancing activity. The food ingredient or nutrient of the composition includes a skin collagen enhancing agent that includes menaquinone-7 as an active ingredient. The composition including skin collagen enhancing agent can be administered percutaneously or orally as a drug, a cosmetic, or a supplement.

1 . A composition comprising a skin collagen enhancing agent, the skin collagen enhancing agent comprising menaquinone-7 as an active ingredient. 
     
     
         2 . A percutaneously administrative agent comprising the composition of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         3 . The percutaneously administrative agent of  claim 2 , wherein the composition is in the form of a solution, an emulsion or a cream. 
     
     
         4 . An orally administrative agent comprising the composition of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         5 . The orally administrative agent of  claim 4 , wherein the composition is in the form of at least one of a powder, granules, a capsule, a pill, a tablet, a liquid preparation, a suspension, an emulsion, and a syrup. 
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises a drug, the drug further comprising at least one additive comprising at least one of an excipient, a disintegrator, a binder, a lubricant, a vitamin, a xanthine derivative, a pH adjuster, a cooling agent, a suspending agent, a thickener, a solubilizing agent, an antioxidant, a coating agent, a plasticizer, a surfactant, water, an alcohol, a water-soluble polymer, a sweetener, a flavoring substance, an acidifier, a flavoring agent, and a coloring agent. 
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises a cosmetic, the cosmetic further comprising at least one of an amino acid providing a source of collagen, a collagen degradation product, collagen, and gelatin. 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises a supplement, the supplement further comprising at least one of an excipient, a disintegrator, a binder, a lubricant, a vitamin, a xanthine derivative, an amino acid, a pH adjuster, a cooling agent, a suspending agent, a thickener, a solubilizing agent, an antioxidant, a coating agent, a plasticizer, a surfactant, water, an alcohol, a water-soluble polymer, a sweetener, a flavoring substance, an acidifier, a flavoring agent, and a coloring agent. 
     
     
         9 . A method for enhancing skin collagen in an individual, the method comprising:
 administering a composition to the individual, the composition comprising a skin collagen enhancing agent that includes menaquinone-7 as an active ingredient.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the composition is administered orally as one of a capsule, a pill, a tablet, a liquid preparation, a suspension, an emulsion, and a syrup. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the composition is administered percutaneously as one of a solution, an emulsion, and a cream. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises a drug, the drug further comprising at least one additive comprising at least one of an excipient, a disintegrator, a binder, a lubricant, a vitamin, a xanthine derivative, a pH adjuster, a cooling agent, a suspending agent, a thickener, a solubilizing agent, an antioxidant, a coating agent, a plasticizer, a surfactant, water, an alcohol, a water-soluble polymer, a sweetener, a flavoring substance, an acidifier, a flavoring agent, and a coloring agent. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein the drug is administered to the individual such that the amount of menaquinone-7 administered to the individual via the drug is from 10 μg to 100 mg per day. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises a cosmetic, the cosmetic further comprising at least one of an amino acid providing a source of collagen, a collagen degradation product, collagen, and gelatin. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the cosmetic is administered to the individual such that the amount of menaquinone-7 administered to the individual via the cosmetic is from 0.001 mg to 100 mg per day. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises a supplement, the supplement further comprising at least one of an excipient, a disintegrator, a binder, a lubricant, a vitamin, a xanthine derivative, an amino acid, a pH adjuster, a cooling agent, a suspending agent, a thickener, a solubilizing agent, an antioxidant, a coating agent, a plasticizer, a surfactant, water, an alcohol, a water-soluble polymer, a sweetener, a flavoring substance, an acidifier, a flavoring agent, and a coloring agent. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the supplement is administered to the individual such that the amount of menaquinone-7 administered to the individual via the supplement is from 0.01 mg to 50 mg per day.
