Abstract

A camera cover and camera capable of mitigating water drop and dirt adhesion and of ensuring image clarity are provided. A dome section of the camera cover includes, on its outer surface, a hydrophilic coating made of an inorganic material whose main component is a silicon compound. The thickness of the hydrophilic coating is 0.01 to 1 μm. Surface roughness Ra of the hydrophilic coating is 0.06 μm or less.

1 . A camera cover comprising a resin base material that covers a camera section, wherein;
 an outer surface of the camera cover comprises a hydrophilic coating comprising an inorganic material, a main component of the inorganic material being a silicon compound;   the thickness of the hydrophilic coating is 0.01 to 1 μm; and   center-line average roughness Ra of the surface of the hydrophilic coating is 0.06 μm or less.   
     
     
         2 . A camera cover comprising a resin base material that covers a camera section, wherein:
 an outer surface of the camera cover comprises a hydrophilic coating comprising an inorganic material, the inorganic material comprising a silicon compound as a main component;   the thickness of the hydrophilic coating is 0.01 to 1 μm; and   maximum height Ry and ten-point average roughness Rz of the surface of the hydrophilic coating are 0.10 μm or less.   
     
     
         3 . A camera cover comprising a resin base material that covers a camera section, wherein an inner surface of the resin base material comprises a hydrophilic coating. 
     
     
         4 . The camera cover according to  claim 1 , wherein the hydrophilic coating of the outer surface of the camera cover has a water contact angle equal to or greater than 5 degrees and less than 34 degrees. 
     
     
         5 . The camera cover according to  claim 3 , wherein the hydrophilic coating of the inner surface of the camera cover has a water contact angle equal to or less than 10 degrees. 
     
     
         6 . The camera cover according to  claim 1 , wherein the silicon compound is silicone-based or glass-based. 
     
     
         7 . The camera cover according to  claim 1 , wherein the outer surface of the resin base material is of a dome shape or flat shape. 
     
     
         8 . A camera comprising the camera cover according to  claim 1 .
