Abstract
Methods and systems of providing media to a media consumer are disclosed herein. A media rating for at least one media item can be received from a consumer and stored on a consumer profile. Using a consumer interaction, the media consumer can request to import all available media having a consumer rating higher than a predetermined threshold to an online media library of the consumer. In another embodiment, using a consumer interaction, the media consumer can request to add to an online music library all media items associated with an artist, a genre, or other media item attribute.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 32 . (canceled)
33 . A method comprising:
receiving, over a network at a computing device, a consumer interaction from a media consumer, said consumer interaction comprising a request to receive a media item associated with an attribute identified by the media consumer; identifying, via the computing device, the media item based on said attribute; storing, via the computing device, an identifier of the media item in a consumer profile associated with the media consumer, said consumer profile associated with a media library associated with the media consumer; and providing, via the computing device over the network, the identified media item to the media consumer, said providing comprises facilating adding the identified media item to the media library associated with the media consumer, said adding comprises storing a pointer to a media file corresponding to the identified media file in the media library.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said adding further comprises:
storing a media file corresponding to the identified media file in the media library.
35 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said consumer interaction is a media rating indicative of the media consumer's opinion of a media item, said media rating based on consumer behavior information located in the consumer profile.
36 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said identifying comprises:
searching a media database for media associated with said attribute.
37 . The method of claim 36 , wherein said providing further comprises importing said media to the media library associated with the media consumer.
38 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said attribute is an artist, wherein said identified media item is a media item associated with said artist.
39 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said attribute is a genre, wherein said identified media item is a media item associated with said genre.
40 . The method of claim 39 , further comprising:
providing additional media items associated with said genre to said media consumer for addition to the media consumer's media library.
41 . The method of claim 33 , further comprising:
automatically adding to the media library new media items associated with the attribute as the new media items become available.
42 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said consumer interaction further comprises a single consumer interaction with a provided GUI for importing available media associated with said attribute to the media library of the media consumer.
43 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the consumer profile is located on a data store on a network.
44 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the consumer profile is locally stored on a computing device associated with the media consumer.
45 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said request to receive comprises a request to stream said identified media item over said network.
46 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage media tangibly encoded with computer executable instructions, that when executed by a processor associated with a computing device, perform a method comprising:
receiving a consumer interaction from a media consumer, said consumer interaction comprising a request to receive a media item associated with an attribute identified by the media consumer; identifying the media item based on said attribute; storing an identifier of the media item in a consumer profile associated with the media consumer, said consumer profile associated with a media library associated with the media consumer; and providing the identified media item to the media consumer, said providing comprises facilating adding the identified media item to the media library associated with the media consumer, said adding comprises storing a pointer to a media file corresponding to the identified media file in the media library.
47 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 46 , wherein said adding further comprises:
storing a media file corresponding to the identified media file in the media library.
48 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 46 , wherein said identifying comprises:
searching a media database for media associated with said attribute.
49 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 48 , wherein said providing further comprises importing said media to the media library associated with the media consumer.
50 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 46 , further comprising:
automatically adding to the media library new media items associated with the attribute as the new media items become available.
51 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 46 , wherein said consumer interaction further comprises a single consumer interaction with a provided GUI for importing available media associated with said attribute to the media library of the media consumer.
52 . A system comprising:
at least one computing device comprising: memory storing computer-executable instructions; and one or more processors for executing said computer-executable instructions, comprising:
receiving a consumer interaction from a media consumer, said consumer interaction comprising a request to receive a media item associated with an attribute identified by the media consumer;
identifying the media item based on said attribute;
storing an identifier of the media item in a consumer profile associated with the media consumer, said consumer profile associated with a media library associated with the media consumer; and
providing the identified media item to the media consumer, said providing comprises facilating adding the identified media item to the media library associated with the media consumer, said adding comprises storing a pointer to a media file associated with the identified media file in the media library.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
