Product dispensers and refills for the same

Abstract

A dispenser for sanitary tissue products comprises a generally cylindrical shell comprising a portion extending radially outward from a perimeter of the generally cylindrical shell. The portion defines a dispensing opening. The dispenser comprises a refill sleeve positioned at least partially within the shell and that is configured to receive a plurality of sanitary tissue products. The refill sleeve defines an opening therein at least partially aligned with the dispensing opening.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A dispenser for sanitary tissue products, the dispenser comprising:
 a generally barrel-shaped body comprising a raised portion defining a dispensing opening therein.   
     
     
         2 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the body comprises:
 a generally cylindrical shell; and   a refill sleeve positioned at least partially within the generally cylindrical shell.   
     
     
         3 . The dispenser of  claim 2 , wherein the refill sleeve forms two outer end surfaces of the body, and wherein the generally cylindrical shell forms the other outer surface of the body. 
     
     
         4 . The dispenser of  claim 3 , wherein the two outer end surfaces are recessed inward with respect to end portions of the generally cylindrical shell. 
     
     
         5 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         6 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are U-folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         7 . A dispenser for sanitary tissue products, the dispenser comprising:
 a body comprising:
 a generally cylindrical shell comprising a dispensing opening defined therein, wherein a first end of the shell comprises a first generally circular opening, and wherein a second end of the shell comprises a second generally circular opening; and 
 a refill sleeve positioned at least partially within the shell and forming an outer end surface of the dispenser. 
   
     
     
         8 . The dispenser of  claim 7 , wherein the first generally circular opening is opposite to the second generally circular opening. 
     
     
         9 . The dispenser of  claim 7 , wherein portions of the refill sleeve forms two outer ends of the dispenser, and wherein a surface of the first end of the refill sleeve is recessed inwardly with respect to a first end portion of the shell, and wherein a surface of the second end of the refill sleeve is recessed inwardly with respect to a second end portion of the shell. 
     
     
         10 . The dispenser of  claim 7 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         11 . The dispenser of  claim 7 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are U-folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         12 . A dispenser for sanitary tissue products, the dispenser comprising:
 a generally cylindrical shell comprising a portion extending radially outward from a perimeter of the generally cylindrical shell, wherein the portion defines a dispensing opening; and   a refill sleeve positioned at least partially within the shell and configured to receive a plurality of sanitary tissue products, wherein the refill sleeve defines an opening therein at least partially aligned with the dispensing opening.   
     
     
         13 . The dispenser of  claim 12 , wherein portions of the refill sleeve form two end portions of the dispenser. 
     
     
         14 . The dispenser of  claim 13 , wherein the two end portions are recessed inwardly from end portions of the shell. 
     
     
         15 . The dispenser of  claim 12 , wherein the refill sleeve is slidably engaged with the shell. 
     
     
         16 . The dispenser of  claim 12 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         17 . The dispenser of  claim 12 , comprising a plurality of sanitary tissue products within the refill sleeve, wherein the sanitary tissue products are U-folded in the cross-machine direction. 
     
     
         18 . The dispenser of  claim 12 , wherein the dispenser defines a scent cartridge receiving chamber therein. 
     
     
         19 . The dispenser of  claim 18 , wherein one of the shell and the refill sleeve defines an aperture therethrough, and wherein the aperture is in fluid communication with the scent cartridge receiving chamber. 
     
     
         20 . The dispenser of  claim 19 , comprising a scent cartridge positioned within the scent cartridge receiving chamber.
