Protective glove

Abstract

A hygienic glove having multiple removable layers. Each outer and successive layer has a tab means, whereby the outer and successive layers can be readily torn off or removed from the remainder of the glove, leaving the remaining layers, and finally the last layer, in place on the wearer's hand.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A glove comprising a plurality of discardable layers, the glove comprising:
 at least one outer layer made from a material having physical and chemical properties of water or chemical resistance and abrasion or penetration resistance; and   at least one inner layer having skin compatibility properties for use against the skin of a wearer.   
     
     
         2 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one outer layer is separable from the at least one inner layer by engagement of a wrist portion of the outer layer that is pullable to strip the outer layer from a user's hand. 
     
     
         3 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one inner layer is made of a different material from the at least one outer layer. 
     
     
         4 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one outer layer comprises a plurality of layers having an average wall thickness substantially less than the average thickness of the layer wall of the inner layer. 
     
     
         5 . The glove according to  claim 2 , wherein the at least one outer layer comprises a plurality of outer layers that are progressively thinner layers with each successive outer layer. 
     
     
         6 . The glove according to  claim 5 , wherein the inner layer is significantly thicker than the plurality of outer layers. 
     
     
         7 . The glove according to  claim 6 , wherein the inner and outer layers are made from the same material. 
     
     
         8 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the inner layer is treated with a release agent to prevent the next outer layer adhering or sticking to the inner layer. 
     
     
         9 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the outer layer is made of latex. 
     
     
         10 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the inner layer is made of a thermal insulating material and is adhered to the at least one outer layer immediately adjacent the inner layer, the at least one outer layer additionally including one or more discardable layers having water-resistant properties. 
     
     
         11 . The glove according to  claim 1 , wherein the pullable wrist portion includes a tab able to be manipulated to remove the outer layer. 
     
     
         12 . The glove according to  claim 11 , wherein each outer layer includes its own tab. 
     
     
         13 . The glove according to  claim 11 , wherein the tab of the outermost outer layer is the only tab exposed for manipulation. 
     
     
         14 . The glove according to  claim 11 , wherein the outermost outer layer covers the tabs of the inner and outer layers lying thereunder. 
     
     
         15 . The glove according to  claim 11 , wherein the tabs of all inner and outer layers are accessible and visible.
