Method of processing information inputted while a mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state

Abstract

A method of processing information inputted while a mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state is provided. The method of processing information inputted while a mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state includes receiving information inputted while the mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state; displaying, if the active communications state is terminated before processing the inputted information, the unprocessed inputted information that exists; and processing the unprocessed inputted information. The inputted information can be input using various input modes such as a numeral, Korean character, English character, and special character input modes.

1 . A method of processing information inputted while a mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state, comprising:
 receiving information inputted while the mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state;   displaying the inputted information and at least one selectable processing function to process the inputted information;   selecting a processing function of the at least one selectable processing function to process the inputted information; and   parsing and processing the inputted information according to the selected processing function,   wherein the active communications state is a state in which the mobile communication terminal is engaged in communications with another mobile communication terminal.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving of information inputted while the mobile communication terminal is in an active communications state comprises:
 determining a key input for inputting information while performing communication;   generating an input field; and   displaying the inputted information in the generated input field.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the selectable processing function is at least one of an icon mapped to a key and a key guide of a key mapped to a function for processing the inputted information. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein a controller, when parsing the inputted information, recognizes the inputted information as a numeral string, if the inputted information comprises at least one numeral alone or at least one numeral with at least one of a space character and a hyphen character, and recognizes the inputted information as a character string if the inputted information comprises characters. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , wherein the controller, when parsing the inputted information, recognizes the inputted information as a phone number, if the inputted information is the numeral string. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the processing of the inputted information comprises at least one of storing a memo, storing a message, transmitting a message, and storing a phone number. 
     
     
         7 . A device for processing information inputted while a mobile communication terminal is in an active communication state, the device comprising:
 a controller for parsing and processing information inputted while the mobile communication terminal is in an active communication state;   a storage unit for storing the inputted information, a program for processing the inputted information, and data generated while executing the program; and   a display unit for displaying function menus executed in the mobile communication terminal and data stored in the storage unit,   wherein the active communications state is a state in which the mobile communication terminal is engaged in communications with another mobile communication terminal.   
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 7 , wherein the controller controls the display unit to display a notification that there is unprocessed information and processes the unprocessed information if the active communication state is terminated before the inputted information has been processed. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 7 , wherein the controller divides the inputted information into a numeral string and a character string when parsing and processing the inputted information. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 7 , wherein the inputted information includes at least one of a numeral, a Korean character, an English character, and a special character. 
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 7 , wherein the display unit further displays an image required for processing information inputted while the mobile communication terminal is in the active communication state.
