Abstract

A shower rail riser comprising a riser body having an aperture for receiving a riser rail therethrough, a holder for releasably holding a shower head, an engagement element for in use releasably engaging a riser rail extending through the aperture of the riser body so as to hold the riser body stationary relative thereto, and a handle which depends from the riser body, the handle being movable relative to the riser body so that a user can at least raise the riser body using the handle.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A shower rail riser comprising a riser body having an aperture which receives a riser rail therethrough, a holder which releasably holds a shower head, an engagement element which releasably engages a riser rail extending through the aperture of the riser body so as to hold the riser body stationary relative thereto, and a handle which depends from the riser body, wherein the handle is movable relative to the riser body so that a user can at least raise the riser body using the handle.

2 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handle is pivotably mounted on the riser body.

3 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the handle is connected to the riser body via a universal joint.

4 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a shaft of the handle is telescopic.

5 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a shaft of the handle is flexible.

6 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handle has a foldably adjustable length.

7 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the engagement element includes a friction member which frictionally engages a riser rail, and a user-operable release member which releases the friction member.

8 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the engagement element is incorporated at a pivot of the handle, and includes a cam element which is operable by movement of the handle to releasably engage the riser rail.

9 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the riser body includes a support portion on which the holder is mounted, and a depending tail portion on which the handle is mounted.

10 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the support portion overhangs the tail portion.

11 . A shower rail riser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the holder is rotatably mounted on the riser body.
