Bean bag basketball

Abstract

A simulated game of Basketball that is played using an existing Basketball hoop, Basketball and specialized marked deck of cards comprising of multiple cards marked 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and Wild Card. Also, the game incorporates eight bean bags numbered 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8. The game is played using an existing Basketball hoop and Basketball. The scoring is determined by the points on the specialized deck of cards that corresponds to the bean bags the player shoots the ball from. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.

1 . A method of playing a simulated game of Basketball for two to four players using eight (8) bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) numbered “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” “7” “8” and a specialized marked deck of cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) wherein the deck include multiple cards numbered “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” “7” “8” and “Wild Card” with a point value assigned to each. See Bean Bag Basketball diagram  1 . The game is played using an existing Basketball hoop and Basketball. Two specialized marked deck of cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) are needed to play a simulated game of Basketball on any play ground, gym, boys or girls club camp, beach, park, recreational center or driveway. Each deck of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is marked with a different city that represents a Basketball Team. The two decks of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) are shuffled together, a 1 ½ inch binder ring is installed into the ¼ inch hole at the top of the specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) then the top specialized card (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is flipped over to determine which player shoots from which bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) and to determine how many points are scored. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. 
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the method is implemented using two specialized marked decks of cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) and eight (8) numbered bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) numbered “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” “7” “8”. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising, prior to the step of flipping the specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color), shuffling the two decks of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) together. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein each player chooses which city they would like to play for before the start of the game. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein one specialized card (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is flipped over one at a time, (until the deck is depleted), to determine which player shoots the ball from which of the eight bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) to determine how many points are scored. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the decks of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) are placed face down and flipped over one at a time starting with the top card. The player who has the corresponding city (as in  claim 4 ) shoots the ball from the corresponding bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) to determine how many points are scored. After the player shoots the ball the next specialized card (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is flipped over and the player who has the corresponding city (as in  claim 4 ) shoots the ball from the corresponding bean bags (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) to determine how many points are scored, and so on until the deck of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is depleted. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the deck of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is reshuffled and one specialized card (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is flipped over one at a time, (until the deck is depleted), to determine which player shoots the ball and how many points are scored. This can be done two (2) times for a two (2) half game or four (4) times for a four (4) quarter game. The winner is the player with the highest points at the end of two (2) halves or at the end of four (4) quarters. If the game is tied at the end of two (2) halves or at the end of four (4) quarters the deck of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is reshuffled and one specialized card (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) is flipped over one (1) at a time (until the deck is depleted), to play an overtime quarter. The players keep on playing an overtime quarter until there is a winner. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 7 , wherein each deck of specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) includes nine (9) number 1's, two (2) number 2's, 3's 4's 5's 6's, 7's, 8's and Wild Card for a total of 25 cards in the deck. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the nine (9) number one (1) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of two (2) points, by making two (2) shots from the number one (1) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) free throw line for a total of two (2) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number two (2)) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of two (2) points, shooting the ball from the number two (2) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for two (2) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number three (3) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of two (2) points, shooting the ball from the number three (3) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for two (2) points.(Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number four (4) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of two (2) points, shooting the ball from the number four (4) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for two (2) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number five (5) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of three (3) points, shooting the ball from the number five (5) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for two (2) points, and then shooting the ball from the number one (1) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) free throw line for one (1) point. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number six (6) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of three (3) points, shooting the ball from the number six (6) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for three (3) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number seven (7) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of three (3) points, shooting the ball from the number seven (7) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for three (3) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) number eight (8) specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a point value of three (3) points, shooting the ball from the number eight (8) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for three (3) points. (Any missed shots, no points are scored) 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein each of the two (2) Wild Card specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) has a total point value of four (4) points, shooting the ball from the numbers one (1) free throw line, two (2), three (3), four (4) or five (5) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for two (2) points, and then shooting the ball from the number one (1) bean bag ( or any shape, size, color or designed markers) free throw line for one (1) point for a total of three (3) points or shooting the ball from the numbers six (6), seven (7) or eight (8) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) for three (3) points, and then shooting the ball from the number one (1) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) free throw line for one (1) point for a total of four (4) points (Any missed shots, no points are scored). 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the specialized cards (can be any size, shape, thickness or color) have the ¼ inch hole at the top of the card, the teams city name, the point value and the numbers “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” “7” “8” and “Wild Card” printed on them.          19 . The method of placing the bean bags (or any shape, color or designed markers) in a Around-The-World  3  Pattern or a Random Pattern, around an existing Basketball hoop, with the number one (1) bean bag (or any shape, size, color or designed markers) always on the free throw line.          20 . The method of keeping score on any blank piece of paper, a preprinted score sheet of paper with the numbers one (1) thru two hundred (200), any type of mechanical score board or any type of electronic score board.
