Archery Arm Guard
Abstract
The present invention provides for an attachment to an archery bow to prevent contact of the bowstring with the archer's bow-supporting arm. The attachment comprises an adjustment piece that that is attached to the bow and is adjustable to an individual archer's preferred position on the bow. The adjustment piece includes a quasi-circular portion and securing shaft portion that extends substantially perpendicular away from the quasi-circular portion. The securing shaft portion connects with the bow, normally along a stabilizer bar or cable guard rod. The archer can optimally position the archer's bow-supporting arm relative to the quasi-circular portion of the adjustment piece to enhance shooting performance and to prevent contact of the bowstring with the archer's bow-supporting arm.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A device for attachment to an archery bow to prevent contact of the bowstring with the archer's bow-supporting arm, the device comprising:
an adjustment piece for attachment to the bow and being adjustable to an individual archer's preferred position on the bow, wherein said adjustment piece includes a quasi-circular portion and securing shaft portion extending substantially perpendicular away from said quasi-circular portion, said securing shaft portion connected to the bow, whereby the archer can optimally position the archer's bow-supporting arm relative to said quasi-circular portion of said adjustment piece to enhance shooting performance and to prevent contact of the bowstring with the archer's bow-supporting arm.
2 . An archer's compound bow including a riser and two limbs defining a bowed frame, a cable guard rod extending away from and substantially perpendicular to said riser and an armguard device consisting of:
an adjustment piece for attachment to the bow and being adjustable to an individual archer's preferred position on the bow, wherein said adjustment piece includes a quasi-circular portion and securing shaft portion extending substantially perpendicular away from said quasi-circular portion, said securing shaft portion being connected to said cable guard rod.
3 . The archer's compound bow of claim 2 wherein said adjustment piece further comprises a locking mechanism located along said securing shaft portion wherein said locking mechanism securely engages said cable guard rod securing said adjustment piece thereto.
4 . The archer's compound bow of claim 3 wherein said locking mechanism includes one or more set screws to engage said cable guard rod.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
