Abstract

Provided is a bag with an adhesive tape that allows for disposing or securing the bag to the receptacle, and is designed to be compatible with the manufacturing process.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A flexible bag with a single opening for disposing comprising:
 a) a bag with a single opening and sides that are made by attaching two pieces of water proof material together;   b) an elongated flexible tape with adhesive that can be exposed by stripping a cover on said adhesive, said tape being attached up to about 7 inches from the opening of the bag, said tape having a first end and a second end, wherein the tape is permanently attached to the bag in between the first and second ends so that the first end of the tape is inside of the bag and the second end of the bag is outside of the bag and the permanent attachment is where the two pieces of the material meet and the attachment anchors the first and second ends,   wherein a user can flip over top of the bag in a container and minimize any bag excess by using the first end of the tape that is flipped to the outside and can dispose of the bag by using the second end outside of the bag to enclose the bag.   attached to each other in such manner to form a bag with a single opening, wherein the two pieces comprises two separate pieces of pieces of material or a single piece of piece of material that is folded to obtain two pieces, with the folded portion serving as bottom of the bag;

2 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the two pieces for welding to make the sides are made by folding a single sheet.

3 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the cover also has adhesive and is permanently attached at one end to the tape so that removing the cover will result in a one piece adhesive comprised of the tape and the cover.

4 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the cover does not have an adhesive and is not attached to the tape other than through the adhesive.

5 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the tape and any attached cover with adhesive have a total length of about 4 to about 10 inches.

6 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the tape length is about 3 to about 7 inches on the outside and about 1 to 3 inches on the inside.

7 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the tape has a width of about 0.5 inch to about 1.5 inch.

8 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the bag is made of two pieces that are welded together.

9 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the bag is made of two pieces that are welded together with the tape in one welding step.

10 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the bag is made from plastic.

11 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the bag has a volume of about 3 to about 65 gallons.

12 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the bag has one or more of a height of about 10 to about 70 inches, and a width of about 10 to about 45 inches.

13 . The flexible bag of claim 1 , wherein the tape has a distinguishing feature to guide how the bag should be disposed.

14 . A flexible bag with a single opening for disposing comprising:
 a) two pieces of water proof material attached to each other on the sides in such manner to form a bag with a single opening; and b) an elongated flexible tape with adhesive that can be exposed by stripping a cover on said adhesive, said tape being attached up to about 7 inches from the opening of the bag, said tape having a first end and a second end, wherein first end of the tape is permanently attached where the two pieces of the material meet so that the first end of the tape is attached to the bag and anchors the tape with the second end that is either inside or outside of the bag; wherein a user, if the tape is inside of the bag can flip over top of the bag in a container and minimize any bag excess by using the second end of the tape that is flipped to the outside, and if the tape is outside of the bag, can dispose of the bag by using the second end outside of the bag to enclose the bag.

15 . The flexible bag of claim 14 , wherein the tape is only on the outside of the bag.

16 . The flexible bag of claim 14 , wherein the tape is only on the inside of the bag.

17 . The flexible bag of claim 14 , wherein there is a tape both inside and outside of the bag.

18 . The flexible bag of claim 17 , wherein the tape is one piece.

19 . A method of manufacturing the bag of claim 1 comprising providing two rectangular pieces of flexible material, either as two separate pieces or one piece that is folded to provide two pieces that are joined where folded, and welding the two pieces together with a tape in between the two pieces so the tape gets attached between the two pieces.

20 . A method of disposing garbage comprising placing the bag of claim 1 in a container, flipping over the top of the bag so the tape on the inside is on the outside, removing the cover on the tape now on the outside to expose the adhesive on the tape, minimizing excess of the bag in relation to the container with the exposed tape, removing the attached tape and un-flipping the top so that the bag is straight, removing the adhesive on the tape that is on the outside, closing the bag with the tape on the outside, disposing of the bag.
