Abstract

A bag is configured so as to be convertible from a convenient bag for carrying a customer's fast food purchase into a protector for the customer's lap and chest while consuming the fast food meal and then into a package suitable for disposal of trash; and further enables the use of the inside of the bag for advertising or informational purposes.

A bag comprising five panels (a front, a back, two sides and a bottom), each of said panels having an outside face and an inside face; a necklace loop handle attached to one of said panels and a locking loop, smaller than said necklace loop handle, attached to another of said panels; and a separable segment defined within a panel of the bag. 
     
     
         2 . A bag as in  claim 1  wherein said necklace loop handle is attached either to the back panel of the bag or to each of the two side panels of the bag, and said locking loop is attached to the front panel of the bag. 
     
     
         3 . A bag as in  claim 1 , further comprising an adhesive strip attached to the necklace loop handle. 
     
     
         4 . A bag as in  claim 1 , further comprising a message on the inside face of a panel. 
     
     
         5 . A bag as in  claim 4 , wherein said message comprises text. 
     
     
         6 . A bag as in  claim 4 , wherein said message comprises an image. 
     
     
         7 . A bag as in  claim 4 , wherein said message comprises a machine-readable code. 
     
     
         8 . A bag as in  claim 7 , wherein said machine-readable code comprises a QR code. 
     
     
         9 . A bag as in  claim 7  wherein said machine-readable code comprises a bar-code. 
     
     
         10 . A bag as in  claim 4  wherein said message is an advertisement. 
     
     
         11 . A bag as in  claim 10  wherein said advertisement comprises text. 
     
     
         12 . A bag as in  claim 10  wherein said advertisement comprises an image. 
     
     
         13 . A bag as in  claim 10  wherein said advertisement comprises a machine-readable code.
