Abstract

Systems and methods for media content development and deployment are disclosed. An example system includes a development platform and content delivery platform, the platforms including a processor and a memory. The example development platform is to provide an interface to accept media content from a provider to be certified for delivery via the delivery platform. The example development platform is to facilitate testing of the media content by the provider via the interface according to testing tools and an application programming interface provided in conjunction with the development platform. The example development platform is to process the media content for monitored beta test by users via the content delivery platform. The example development platform is to evaluate the monitored beta test to determine suitability of the media content for release. The example development platform is to facilitate release of the media content for general availability via the content delivery platform.

1 . A system comprising:
 a web-based media content development platform and content delivery platform, the platforms including a processor and a memory, the development platform arranged to:
 provide an interface to accept media content from a provider to be certified for delivery via the content delivery platform; 
 facilitate testing of the media content by the provider via the interface according to testing tools and an application programming interface provided in conjunction with the development platform; 
 process the media content for monitored beta test by a group of users via the content delivery platform; 
 evaluate the monitored beta test to determine suitability of the media content for release; and 
 facilitate release of the media content for general availability via the content delivery platform. 
   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the development platform is arranged to provide feedback to the provider based on at least one of the self-test and the beta test of the media content. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the development platform is to provide technical documentation in addition to the application programming interface to facilitate configuration of the media content by the provider. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein media content under beta test is to be placed in a library for access by the group of users and flagged as beta content. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein, upon successful completion of beta test, the media content is to be placed in a music library for general availability, and the flag is to be removed. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the development platform is to provide a test plan for download by the provider. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the development platform is to automatically evaluate the media content against one or more program submission criterion after completed self-test. 
     
     
         8 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
 providing, via a web-based media content development platform, an interface to accept media content from a provider to be certified for delivery via a content delivery platform;   facilitating testing of the media content by the provider via the interface according to testing tools and an application programming interface provided in conjunction with the development platform;   processing the media content for monitored beta test by a group of users via the content delivery platform;   evaluating the monitored beta test to determine suitability of the media content for release; and   facilitating release of the media content for general availability via the content delivery platform.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising providing feedback to the provider based on at least one of the self-test and the beta test of the media content. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising providing technical documentation in addition to the application programming interface to facilitate configuration of the media content by the provider. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising placing media content under beta test in a library for access by the group of users and flagged as beta content. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , further comprising, upon successful completion of beta test, placing the media content in a music library for general availability, and removing the flag. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising providing a test plan for download by the provider. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising automatically evaluating the media content against one or more program submission criterion after completed self-test. 
     
     
         15 . A computer readable storage medium including instructions for execution by a processor, the instructions, when executed by the processor, to implement a system for web-based content development and deployment, the system comprising:
 a web-based media content development platform and a content delivery platform, the platforms including a processor and a memory, the development platform arranged to:
 provide an interface to accept media content from a provider to be certified for delivery via the content delivery platform; 
 facilitate testing of the media content by the provider via the interface according to testing tools and an application programming interface provided in conjunction with the development platform; 
 process the media content for monitored beta test by a group of users via the content delivery platform; 
 evaluate the monitored beta test to determine suitability of the media content for release; and 
 facilitate release of the media content for general availability via the content delivery platform. 
   
     
     
         16 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 15 , wherein the development platform is arranged to provide feedback to the provider based on at least one of the self-test and the beta test of the media content. 
     
     
         17 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 15 , wherein the development platform is to program technical documentation in addition to the application programming interface to facilitate configuration of the media content by the provider. 
     
     
         18 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 15 , wherein media content under beta test is to be placed in a library for access by the group of users and flagged as beta content. 
     
     
         19 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 18 , wherein, upon successful completion of beta test, the media content is to be placed in a music library for general availability, and the flag is to be removed. 
     
     
         20 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 15 , wherein the development platform is to provide a test plan for download by the provider. 
     
     
         21 . The computer readable storage medium of  claim 15 , wherein the development platform is to automatically evaluate the media content against one or more program submission criterion after completed self-test.
