Abstract
A method for packaging hot food and a bag container which has a base, a front wall, and a rear wall, and first and second side walls, the bag container being formed of a laminate having an inner layer of a biodegradable plastic material and an outer layer formed of a paper material.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A bag container comprising:
a base, a front wall and a rear wall, and first and second side walls; said bag container being formed of a laminate, said laminate having an inner layer of a biodegradable plastic material and an outer layer formed of a paper material.
2 . The bag container of claim 1 wherein at least one of said front wall and said rear wall includes a window formed therein, said window being formed solely of said inner layer.
3 . The bag container of claim 1 further including a line of sealing along an upper portion of at least one of said front wall and said rear wall, said line of sealing permitting said front wall and said rear wall to be sealed together.
4 . The bag container of claim 1 wherein said plastic material is a polypropylene material.
5 . The bag container of claim 4 wherein said plastic material has a thickness of between 20 to 30 microns.
6 . The bag container of claim 4 wherein said polypropylene includes an effective amount of an additive to render the plastic biodegradable.
7 . The bag container of claim 6 wherein said additive is that marketed under the trademark d2w.
8 . The bag container of claim 7 wherein said additive is added in an amount of at least 1% by weight.
9 . The bag container of claim 1 wherein said outer layer formed of a paper material comprises a kraft type paper having a weight of between 80 to 100 g per square meter.
10 . The bag container of claim 1 wherein said outer layer contains printing thereon, said printing using soy ink.
11 . A method for packaging hot food for take out comprising the steps of:
supplying a leak proof bag container comprising: a base, a front wall and a rear wall, and first and second side walls; said bag container being formed of a laminate, said laminate having an inner layer of a biodegradable plastic material and an outer layer formed of a paper material; and packaging a hot food therein.
12 . The method of claim 11 wherein said hot food is selected from the group consisting of ribs, chicken and hot sandwiches.
13 . The method of claim 12 further including the step of sealing said front wall and said rear wall together.
14 . The method of claim 11 further including the step of disposing of said bag container after use to permit said bag container to biodegrade.
15 . Packaged food comprising a bag container having a base, a front wall and a rear wall, and first and second side walls, said bag container being formed of a laminate, said laminate having an inner layer of a biodegradable plastic material and an outer layer formed of a paper material, said food being located within said bag container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
