Abstract
A stretchable base wig for protecting the wearer's hair from damage while providing total hair coverage; the wig having firstly a self-retention capacity of non-adhesive, non-metal, non-abrasive, breathable anti-skid and retention components and secondly hair arrangement that aids ventilation, attractively imitate natural hair yet discreetly reduce manufacturing time and cost.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . We claim a flexible-grip fabric cap base wig for protecting a wearer's hair from damage while providing total hair coverage, wherein said wig having a contoured-stretchable skullcap base and said skullcap base having pre-made hair wefts connected to said base to form regular hair growth pattern and said hair wefts covering said entire base leaving a uniformly narrow opening at a crown and forehead area of said wig and said narrow opening is a component in a new method of hair arrangement to conceal edges of final hair wefts at a crown and forehead area of said wig and said wig having a new antiskid and retention system said wig comprising:
1a) a contoured skullcap base of a soft stretchable mesh fabric 1b) said wig having a center panel that is wider at the front and stretches lengthwise and two side panels that stretch downwards 1c) a tensioned stretchable periphery band made of stretchable mesh fabric and said band adapted to circumference the wearer's head 1d) a method wherein non-stretch antiskid reinforcement tabs connected to the periphery band in a manner that allows areas of the band to stretch allows easy size configuration 1e) an opening that accommodates a wearer's ear in said periphery band allows proper coverage of the wearer's front hairline 1f) an elastic support component between said opening at the ear section of the periphery band and said elastic helps provide circumferential tension of periphery band by having the depth of the opening about half (½) the width of the periphery band and being supported by the addition of said elastic member. 1g) said tensioned periphery band of said wig in conjunction with a new reinforcement tabs component forms a non-adhesive, non-metal, non-abrasive, breathable anti-skid and retention system 1h) said reinforcement tabs made of a non-stretchable material and is attached to selected sections of said periphery band forming an anti-skid and retention system that holds said structure of said wig in place and prevents reclining and turning of said wig 1i) said anti-skid reinforcement tabs made from a rigid low cost material of stiff tulle or crinoline 1j) said anti-skid reinforcement tabs attached to the outer layer of said wig base to protect the wearer's hair from coming in contact with the rigid tab 1k) said tabs placed in a longitude position along selected areas of the periphery to allow some areas to remain stretchable 1l) said tabs includes four side and four back antiskid reinforcement tabs that are 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) long and ¾ inches (1.9 cm) wide when double folded lengthwise and stitched and a front reinforcement tab 3″ (7.62 cm) wide, 4″ (10.16 cm) long, 1m) said front reinforcement tab having a layer of scalp colored stretchable mesh fabric that overlays said rigid non-stretch mesh tab and said overlay helps to form a imitation scalp presentation while protecting a wearer's hair from the rigid material of the reinforcement tabs 1n) a method of hair arrangement that aids ventilation, attractively imitate natural hair yet discreetly reduce manufacturing time and cost said method is hereby called micro ventilated closure 1o) micro of said hair arrangement denotes narrowness of the area of said hair arrangement that requires manually implanted hair, ventilated denotes method whereby multiple strands of hair are interconnected to said base of said wig resulting in more airflow and closure denotes method of concealing hair weft edges in said narrow opening at the crown and forehead area of said wig 1p) said micro opening of said hair arrangement wherein said opening is approximately ¼″ (6 mm) wide and requires only two procession of ventilated hair to complete a natural looking hair part thus reducing manufacturing time and cost 1q) said hair arrangement wherein a first procession of hair is permanently secured by a zigzag stitch line same color of said hair wefts in said micro opening and said stitch line permanently prevent final hair weft edge at said crown and forehead area of said wig from exposure and a subsequent procession of ventilated hair imitates scalp with hair growth
2 . I claim embodiments of claim 1 that are within the scope of the present invention; designed in any manner that allows a contoured fitted flexible-grip skullcap base to be achieved not necessarily having all the components of the preferred embodiment.
3 . We claim a new method of hair arrangement that aids ventilation, attractively imitate natural hair yet discreetly reduce manufacturing time and cost; said method used to complete a crown and forehead area of a wig said method forming a natural looking permanent hair part by a process hereby called micro ventilated closure wherein:
3a) micro of said hair arrangement denotes narrowness of an area that requires manually implanted hair, ventilated denotes method whereby multiple strands of hair are interconnected to a base of a wig resulting in more airflow and closure denotes method of concealing hair weft edges at the crown and forehead area of said wig 3b) pre-made hair wefts connected to a base of a wig to form regular hair growth pattern said hair wefts covering the entire base of said wig leaving a uniformly narrow opening at a crown and forehead area 3c) to form said micro opening arranged rows of hair wefts at a crown and forehead area of said wig has a uniformly narrow opening between the left and right rows of said hair wefts 3d) said opening is approximately ¼″ (6 mm) wide and requires only two procession of ventilated hair to complete a natural looking hair part thus reducing manufacturing time and cost 3e) to form said hair part a first procession of ventilated hair overlays edge of said hair weft in said narrow opening and said ventilated hair is permanently secured by with a zigzag stitch line same color as the ventilated hair thus concealing said hair weft edges from exposure 3f) to complete said hair part a subsequent procession of ventilated hair in the remaining narrow opening simulate scalp with hair growth.
4 . We claim a method of non-adhesive, non-metal, non abrasive, attachment-free antiskid and retention system for a wig wherein a rigid non-stretch mesh is connected to periphery area of a wig base, said non-stretch material is used to form anti-skid reinforcement tabs and said tabs prevent rolling up, reclining and provide structure support of a wig said system usable for stretchable wigs and said system wherein:
4a) said anti-skid reinforcement tabs are arranged in such way that allows areas of the periphery without the tab to remain flexible and areas with the tab to grip hence giving a flexible grip capacity that eliminates the need for adhesives and other attachment 4b) said antiskid reinforcement tabs is being of a low cost, rigid non-stretch material examples of such material being stiff tulle or petticoat mesh. 4c) said anti-skid reinforcement tabs are four side and four back tabs that are 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) long and ¾ inches (1.9 cm) wide when double folded lengthwise and stitched. 4d) said system includes a front antiskid reinforcement tab that is 3″ (7.62 cm) wide, 4″ (10.16 cm) long and said tab has a layer of scalp colored stretchable mesh fabric that overlays said rigid non-stretch mesh tab 4e) said front tab being overlaid by said scalp colored fabric provides a foundation for an imitation scalp presentation at said crown and forehead area of said a wig while protecting a wearer's hair from coming in contact with said rigid tab material
