Abstract
Products and methods for treating imperfections in concrete surfaces, especially floors being polished, wherein the products are used with grinding equipment, and combine with concrete powder or fines to fill, e.g., cracks, holes and voids and blend with the existing color of the concrete surface thereby yielding a consistent, natural looking surface.

17 . A method of filling and concealing a concrete surface imperfection comprising the steps of:
a) dispensing a treatment product for a concrete surface on the concrete surface, said treatment product comprising: a binder, at least one wetting agent, a chelating agent, a catalyst, a pigment dispersant and water; and b) using a grinding device to grind the concrete surface with the treatment product thereon for mixing and reacting the treatment product with the concrete particles from the ground concrete surface to form a fill product, and wherein the fill product fills the imperfection while grinding the concrete surface.
18 . The method of claim 17 including the additional step of applying a release agent to the grinding device prior to using said grinding device.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the imperfection is from the group consisting of air holes, aggregate pop-ups, voids, micro-cracks and spider cracks.

The method of claim 17 , wherein the binder includes a salt of silicic acid, said at least one wetting agent is from the group consisting of a non-ionic polyether surfactant and an amino acid, said catalyst is a calcium salt and said dispersant is tetramethyl-5-decyne-4,7-diol, 2,4,7,9-, propylene glycol, ethoxylated alcohol.
21 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the solids content of the treatment product, by weight, is in the range of 18% to 45%.
22 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the solids content of the treatment product, by weight, is in the range of 30% to 45%.
23 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the solids content of the treatment product, by weight, is in the range of 30% to 35%.
24 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the solids content of the treatment product, by weight, is in the range of 32% to 34%.
25 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the imperfection is less than ½ inch in size.
26 . A method of filling and concealing a concrete surface imperfection comprising the steps of:
a) grinding a concrete surface with a grinding device to provide concrete particles from the ground concrete surface; b) collecting the concrete particles from the ground concrete surface; c) mixing a treatment product for a concrete surface with collected concrete particles to obtain a paste-like product, said treatment product comprising a binder, at least one wetting agent, a chelating agent, a catalyst, a pigment dispersant, a defoamer, a water reducer and a stabilizer, and d) applying the paste-like product to the imperfection.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the step of mixing the treatment product with the collected concrete particles is carried out to form a paste-like product including about 60% by weight of the concrete particles and about 40% by weight of the treatment product.
28 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the solids content of the treatment product, by weight, is 42% to 45%.
29 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the imperfection is greater than ½ inch in size.
