Abstract
An interactive activity system is disclosed. One embodiment includes a generator configured to produce electrical power based on physical interaction with a human being, a storage component configured to store the electrical power, and at least one play-oriented application configured to utilize a portion of the electrical power for operation. In one embodiment, the interactive activity system is implemented in a traditional, non-electronic playground environment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A play system comprising:
a play element having at least one moveable component; a power generation circuit functionally connected to the at least one moveable component; a power storage circuit that receives power from the power generation circuit; a power distribution circuit that distributes power stored in the power storage circuit; and an interactive electronic game component that receives power from the power distribution circuit.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the interactive electronic game component comprises an interactive display screen.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the interactive display screen is configured to receive log-in information from a user.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the interactive display screen is configured to receive a user selection of a game.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the play element and the interactive electronic game component are associated with a same play structure.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the play element and the interactive electronic game component are associated with different play structures.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the interactive electronic game component includes an LED display and a speaker.
8 . A method of providing electrical energy to an interactive electronic game, the method comprising:
generating electrical energy through interaction with a play element; storing the electrical energy to a storage circuit; receiving an indication that a user would like to play the interactive electronic game; distributing the electrical energy to the interactive electronic game; and repeating the generating, the storing, the receiving, and the distributing steps such that the interactive electronic game can be played multiple times without receiving electrical energy from an external source.
9 . The method of claim 8 , and further comprising:
determining whether the storage circuit includes a threshold amount of energy.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the electrical energy is only distributed to the interactive electronic game when the amount of electrical energy stored to the storage circuit exceeds the threshold amount.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the threshold amount corresponds to a predetermined amount of time for playing the interactive electronic game.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein interacting with the play element comprises pedaling.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein interacting with the play element comprises pressing a button.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein receiving the indication comprises receiving a user selection of one of multiple electronic games.
15 . A play system comprising:
a play element that is configured to generate electrical energy; a storage component that is configured to store the electrical energy; a distribution component that is configured to distribute the electrical energy; and a plurality of interactive electronic games that are configured to receive the electrical energy from the distribution component.
16 . The system of claim 15 , and further comprising:
one or more additional play elements that are also configured to generate electrical energy.
17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the play element and the plurality of interactive electronic games are associated with display screens.
18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein one of the display screens enables a user to selectively choose one of the plurality of interactive electronic games.
19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the play element includes a speed sensor.
20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the play system includes a regulator board.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
