Mobile device radio use optimization by batching low priority requests
Abstract
Systems and methods of mobile device radio use optimization by batching low priority requests are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for optimizing radio use on a mobile device. The method includes, in one embodiment, detecting multiple events having a first priority type initiated on the mobile device and cumulating the multiple events having the first priority type, at least some of which occurred at different instances in time for batched wireless transfer. The batch transfer can occur when interactive traffic or user activity is detected at the mobile device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of optimizing radio use on a mobile device, the method, comprising:
detecting multiple events having a first priority type initiated on the mobile device, when the mobile device is in background mode; cumulating the multiple events having the first priority type, at least some of which occurred at different instances in time for batched transfer to a server in wireless communication with the mobile device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the background mode is absent user activity at the mobile device with clients which generated the multiple events.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the multiple events include background traffic for mobile clients on the mobile device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when interactive traffic is detected at the mobile device.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when an event of a second priority type is detected at the mobile device; wherein the second priority type is of higher priority than the first priority type.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the batch transfer from the mobile device occurs when radio use is otherwise triggered at the mobile device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the batched transfer occurs after a period of time.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the batch transferring is user configurable to be enabled or disabled.
9 . A system for optimizing radio use on a mobile device, the system, comprising:
means for, detecting multiple events having a first priority type initiated on the mobile device;
means for, cumulating the multiple events having the first priority type, at least some of which occurred at different instances in time for batched wireless transfer.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the multiple events are detected when the mobile device is in background mode.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein, the background mode is absent user activity at the mobile device with clients which generated the multiple events.
12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the multiple events are detected when device backlight is off on the mobile device.
13 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the multiple events include background traffic for mobile clients on the mobile device.
14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when interactive traffic is detected at the mobile device.
15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when an event of a second priority type is detected at the mobile device; wherein the second priority type is of higher priority than the first priority type.
16 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, the batch transfer from the mobile device occurs when radio use is otherwise triggered at the mobile device.
17 . A method of optimizing radio use on a mobile device, the method, comprising:
detecting multiple events having a first priority type initiated on the mobile device; aggregating the multiple events having the first priority type, at least some of which occurred at different instances in time for batched transfer from the mobile device; wherein, the multiple events are triggered by different applications on the mobile device.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein, the batch transfer occurs when user activity is detected at the mobile device.
19 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising, batching transferring events of the multiple events to different destination servers based on which of the different applications triggered the events.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein, the batch transfer from the mobile device occurs when radio use is otherwise triggered at the mobile device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
