Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A separately formed handle for a container, the handle comprising:
an annular portion, the annular portion configured to engage a portion of said container; an extension portion, the extension portion connected to and extending from the annular portion; and a grip portion connected to the extension portion, the grip portion including a plurality of spaced apart fins having grooves on opposite surfaces thereof.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the handle is comprised of plastic.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the handle is comprised of one of high density polyethylene and polypropylene.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of the spaced apart fins project inwardly toward the annular portion.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the plurality of spaced apart fins are provided in one or more curved grip segments.

. The handle of claim 5 , wherein the curved grip segments are configured to approximate a finger size of a user.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the annular portion includes an outer frame portion and a flange portion.

. The handle of claim 7 , wherein the flange portion has an inner diameter configured to fit over and engage an upper portion or neck of a container.

. The handle of claim 7 , wherein the flange portion includes a plurality of radial segments that are at least partially separated by radial grooves.

. The handle of claim 7 , wherein the annular portion includes a plurality of support formations formed in connection with the flange portion.

. The handle of claim 7 , wherein the outer frame portion is circular or substantially circular.

. The handle of claim 7 , wherein the outer frame portion includes an outer radial segment that is substantially linear or straight.

. The handle of claim 12 , wherein the outer frame portion includes two outer radial segments, and such segments are provided at or about 180 degrees relative to one another.

. The handle of claim 12 , wherein the extension portion connects to the outer radial segment of the outer frame portion that is substantially linear or straight.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of spaced apart fins are configured to be spaced such that at least four of the spaced apart fins provided around the handle portion are provided within a fingerbreadth of a user.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of spaced apart fins are configured to be spaced such that at least eight of the spaced apart fins provided around the handle portion are provided within a fingerbreadth of a user.

. The handle of claim 1 , wherein the grip portion includes a backbone.

. The handle of claim 17 , wherein the backbone generally runs along the length of the grip portion.

. The handle of claim 17 , wherein the backbone includes an inner segment that is generally flat or smooth.
