Abstract

An improved container for a smokeless tobacco can is provided. The container comprises a bottom portion that interlocks with a lid portion. A unitarily form side wall surrounds the base portion and the lid portion. The lid comprises a plurality of sealing mechanisms therein that creates an airtight seal when the lid is interlocked with the bottom portion.

Claims

1 . A smokeless tobacco can container comprising:
 the container being cylindrical having a bottom portion adapted to securely interlock with a lid portion; the lid portion and the bottom portion having a similar central point and diameter; the bottom portion having:
 a flat surface base defined by an exterior side, an inner side and an outer peripheral edge surrounding the base;
 the base has a wall surrounding, the outer peripheral edge;
 the wall extends upwards from the outer peripheral edge of the base to an opened upper end;
 the wall having a predetermined depth forming a compartment for receiving a can of smokeless tobacco;
 an interior side of the wall includes interior fastening mechanism circumferentially surrounding near opened upper end;
   the lid portion having: a flat panel having an exterior side, an inner side and an outer peripheral edge around the base; the panel has a wall surrounding the outer peripheral edge; the wall extends downward from the outer peripheral edge of the panel to an opened upper end; the wall of the panel having a predetermined depth to support a smokeless can of tobacco; the wall of the panel including a second fastening mechanism surrounding the exterior surface near the opened upper end; a circular base with a wall extending downwards that is attached to the peripheral edge of the base wherein the interior fastening mechanism of the bottom securely interlock with the exterior fastening mechanism of the lid for an airtight seal that are placed into the inner diameter at the top of the can.

         2 . The can holder of claim 1 wherein the lid further comprises:
 a first sealing mechanism having a flat surface area with the same dimensions and shape corresponding to the base of the lid portion;
 the first sealing mechanism being made of a breathable material;
 and which is attached to an bottom side of the lid.

         3 . The can holder of claim 2 wherein the first sealing mechanism is made of a cork like material.

         4 . The can holder of claim 2 wherein the lid further comprises:
 a second sealing mechanism a with an interior opening that circumferentially surrounds the outer peripheral edge of the first sealing mechanism.

         5 . The can holder of claim 1 further comprising a third sealing mechanism with an interior opening circumferentially surrounding an outer peripheral edge of the opened top end of the lid wherein an air tight seal is formed when the lid is interlocked with the bottom.
