Abstract

An undergarment designed for both men and women includes two strap portions connected by a crotch panel. A set of fasteners disposed on a set of ends of each of the strap portions enable the fastening together of the two strap portions to form a single strip that encircles the waist of a wearer. When being worn, the crotch panel extends between the legs of the wearer to cover the wearer's crotch. Due to the shape of the undergarment and the position of the fasteners, the underwear can be donned and removed without requiring the full removal of outer layers of clothing such as, for example, pants, shorts, etc.

1 . A garment for covering a crotch area of a wearer, the garment comprising: a set of two strap portions connected by a crotch panel, each of the strap portions having fasteners disposed thereon. 
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein each of the strap portions has a set of end portions and wherein each of the fasteners is disposed on the end portions. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the set of fasteners comprises four fasteners, two of the fasteners each being disposed on a different one of the strap portions. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the strap portions are configured to attach at each side of the wearer and wherein the set of fasteners are disposed at a position on the strap portions to enable attachment at each side of the wearer. 
     
     
         5 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the strap portions are configured to attach at the front of the wearer and wherein the set of fasteners are disposed at a position on the strap portions to enable attachment at the front of the wearer. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the strap portions are configured to attach at the back of the wearer and wherein the set of fasteners are disposed at a position on the strap portions to enable attachment at the back of the wearer. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the crotch panel is configured to be a size that causes the strap portions to fasten together and encircle a waist of the wearer. 
     
     
         8 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the crotch panel is configured to be a size that causes the strap portions to fasten together and encircle an area above a waist of the wearer. 
     
     
         9 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the crotch panel is configured to be a size that causes the strap portions to fasten together and encircle an area below a waist of the wearer. 
     
     
         10 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the crotch panel is fully detachable from the two strap portions via a set of fasteners. 
     
     
         11 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the fasteners comprise two sets of Velcro strips. 
     
     
         12 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the fasteners comprise snaps. 
     
     
         13 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the fasteners comprise buttons and button holes. 
     
     
         14 . A garment for covering a crotch area of a wearer, the garment comprising: a waistband and a fully detachable crotch panel. 
     
     
         15 . The garment of  claim 14 , wherein the crotch panel is detachably attached to the crotch panel via a first set of fasteners disposed on the crotch panel and a second set of fasteners disposed on the waistband. 
     
     
         16 . The garment of  claim 14 , wherein the fasteners comprise snaps. 
     
     
         17 . A garment for covering a crotch area of a wearer, the garment comprising: a waistband and a partially detachable crotch panel. 
     
     
         18 . The garment of  claim 17 , wherein the crotch panel is detachably attached to the waistband via a first fastener disposed on the crotch panel and a second fastener disposed on the waistband. 
     
     
         19 . The garment of  claim 17 , wherein the fasteners comprise two sets of Velcro strips. 
     
     
         20 . The garment of  claim 17 , wherein the fasteners comprise snaps.
