Abstract

A hands-free device for a mobile-phone handset includes: a read unit that detects connection of a mobile-phone handset and reads identifying information of the mobile-phone handset connected; a phone book creation unit that creates a phone book for each piece of the identifying information; and a change unit that changes the identifying information assigned to the phone book to identifying information of another mobile-phone handset.

         8 . A hands-free device for a mobile-phone handset, comprising:
 a storage that stores a phone book;   a search unit that searches the phone book associated with a first mobile-phone handset in the storage in response to a user input;   a read unit that reads identifying information of a second mobile-phone handset, which is different from the first mobile-phone handset, from the second mobile-phone handset; and   a registration unit that newly associates the identifying information read by the read unit from the second mobile-phone handset with the phone book searched by the search unit and registers the phone book into the storage.   
     
     
         9 . A hands-free device for a mobile-phone handset according to  claim 8 , wherein:
 the user input is based upon an intention of a user for newly associating the identifying information with the phone book and registering the phone book into the storage.   
     
     
         10 . A hands-free device for a mobile-phone handset according to  claim 9 , wherein:
 the phone book includes phone book data that includes a phone number, speed dial data that includes a speed dial number, incoming and outgoing call history data that includes an incoming and outgoing call history of the first mobile-phone handset, and the identifying information.   
     
     
         11 . A hands-free device for a mobile-phone handset according to  claim 8 , wherein:
 the phone book includes phone book data that includes a phone number, speed dial data that includes a speed dial number, incoming and outgoing call history data that includes an incoming and outgoing call history of the first mobile-phone handset, and the identifying information.   
     
     
         12 . A phone book registration method, comprising:
 searching a phone book associated with a first mobile-phone handset in a storage in response to a user input;   reading identifying information of a second mobile-phone handset, which is different from the first mobile-phone handset, from the second mobile-phone handset; and   newly associating the identifying information read from the second mobile-phone handset with the phone book searched and registering the phone book into the storage.   
     
     
         13 . A phone book registration method according to  claim 12 , wherein:
 the user input is based upon an intention of a user for newly associating the identifying information with the phone book and registering the phone book into the storage.   
     
     
         14 . A phone book registration method according to  claim 13 , wherein:
 the phone book includes phone book data that includes a phone number, speed dial data that includes a speed dial number, incoming and outgoing call history data that includes an incoming and outgoing call history of the first mobile-phone handset, and the identifying information.   
     
     
         15 . A phone book registration method according to  claim 12 , wherein:
 the phone book includes phone book data that includes a phone number, speed dial data that includes a speed dial number, incoming and outgoing call history data that includes an incoming and outgoing call history of the first mobile-phone handset, and the identifying information.
