Abstract

A PAM delivery product is a sold form of polyacrylamide polymer (PAM). Among other things, the PAM delivery product can be used to prevent ruts formed during center-pivot irrigation, prevent erosion of irrigation ditches, clarify wastewater, and assist seed germination and seedling establishment. The PAM delivery product includes pure PAM and water to create a solid “loaf”. Water-soluble calcium (Ca) can also be added to the PAM delivery product depending on the specific application for the PAM delivery product. When Ca is used in the PAM delivery product, it is present in a 9:1 ratio to the PAM.

1 . A PAM delivery product for agricultural and wastewater use comprising:
 A. a PAM loaf;   B. wherein the PAM loaf comprises:
 1. PAM; and 
 2. water; 
   C. wherein the PAM loaf is essentially free from fixing agents; and   D. wherein the PAM loaf comprises 40%-60% by weight of PAM and 40%-60% by weight of water.   
     
     
         2 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1  wherein the PAM, has a molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000. 
     
     
         3 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , wherein the PAM loaf releases PAM molecules upon contact with non-turbulent water. 
     
     
         4 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , further comprising a permeable bag comprised of mesh disposed about the PAM loaf. 
     
     
         5 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 8 , wherein the mesh includes holes that are ½″-¾″. 
     
     
         6 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 9 , wherein the permeable mesh bag includes a loop, such that the loop is used to suspend the PAM loaf. 
     
     
         7 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , wherein the PAM loaf is used to minimize creation of ruts in center-pivot irrigation tire tracks. 
     
     
         8 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , wherein the PAM loaf is used to seal irrigation ditches. 
     
     
         9 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1  wherein, the PAM loaf is used to clarify wastewater. 
     
     
         10 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1  wherein:
 A. the PAM loaf is used to assist seed germination and seedling establishment. 
 
     
     
         12 . A PAM delivery product, comprising:
 A. a PAM loaf;   B. wherein the PAM loaf comprises:
 1. PAM; 
 2. water; and 
 3. soluble calcium. 
   
     
     
         13 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 5 , wherein the soluble calcium is present in the amount of 4%-6% by weight. 
     
     
         14 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , wherein the PAM loaf is used to minimize creation of ruts in center-pivot irrigation tire tracks. 
     
     
         15 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1 , wherein the PAM loaf is used to seal irrigation ditches. 
     
     
         16 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1  wherein, the PAM loaf is used to clarify wastewater. 
     
     
         17 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 1  wherein:
 A. the PAM loaf is used to assist seed germination and seedling establishment. 
 
     
     
         18 . A PAM delivery product, comprising:
 A. a PAM loaf;   B. wherein the PAM loaf comprises:
 1. PAM; 
 2. water; and 
 3. a conditioning agent. 
   
     
     
         19 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 18 , wherein the conditioning agent comprises soluble calcium. 
     
     
         20 . The PAM delivery product of  claim 18 , wherein the condition agent comprises gypsum.
