Abstract
The present invention relates to a crown-shaped semi-permanent eye lash extension that adheres on top of the natural lashes. Crown-shaped lash extensions are also applied in crisscross overlapping method that further improves coverage particularly for bald or sparse areas. The design of a single crown-shaped lashes allows it to be applied on top of the natural lashes and not directly onto individual natural lashes. There is no need to isolate individual natural lashes thereby reducing application time significantly and enabling single handed application.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for applying eyelash extensions to natural eyelashes, comprising:
preparing a first plurality of eyelash extensions, each eyelash extension having spaced apart base lash portions, and mid portions merging toward one another to define a crown-shaped tip; applying the first plurality of eyelash extensions in a first pattern over the natural eyelashes, wherein the first plurality of eyelash extensions in the first pattern extends to an outer corner of the natural eyelashes, so that a first layer of the eyelash extensions is constructed; applying in a second pattern a second plurality of eyelash extensions defining an overlapping pattern on the first layer, so that a second layer of the eyelash extensions is constructed; and applying in a third pattern a third plurality of eyelash extensions defining an overlapping pattern on the second layer, so that a third layer of the eyelash extensions is constructed.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first pattern is a crisscross pattern.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second pattern is a crisscross pattern.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third pattern is a crisscross pattern.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the patterns is a side-by-side pattern.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least two of the eyelash extensions have different lengths.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one crown-shaped tip of at least one of the eyelash extensions is positioned between tips of two adjacent, successive natural eye lashes.
8 . A method of applying eyelash extensions over natural eyelashes, comprising:
providing a plurality of the eyelash extensions, each eyelash extension comprising first and second lash portions with spaced-apart base ends, and mid portions extending toward one another to define overlapping distal ends, the overlapping distal ends defining a crown shape; and applying the plurality of eyelash extensions over the natural eyelashes in a preselected pattern, from an inside corner of the natural eyelashes to an outside corner of the natural eyelashes.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one of the crown-shaped overlapping distal ends is positioned midway between two adjacent successive natural eyelashes.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least two of the eyelash extensions have different lengths.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the preselected pattern is a crisscross pattern.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the preselected pattern is a side-by-side pattern.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one other configuration of eyelash extension is mixed in with the first plurality of eyelash extensions.
14 . An eyelash extension configured for application over natural eyelashes, comprising:
first and second lash portions, each lash portion having a base end, a mid portion, and a distal end, the first and second base portions being spaced away from one another; and the first and second mid portions extending toward one another; wherein an overlap of the mid portions proximate the first and second tip portions defines a general crown shape; and wherein upon application of the eyelash extension over the natural eyelashes, the general crown shape is positioned midway between tips of two adjacent successive natural eyelashes.
15 . The eyelash extension of claim 14 wherein the base ends, the mid portions, and general crown shape are further configured such that multiple layers of the eyelash extensions can be applied over the natural eyelashes in a plurality of preselected patterns.
16 . The eyelash extension of claim 14 , wherein the mid portions have a generally arcuate shape with a concave surface and a convex surface, and wherein the convex surfaces extend toward one another to overlap and define the crown shape.
17 . The eyelash extension of claim 14 , wherein the eyelash extensions are configured to be applied over natural eyelashes in a plurality of patterns, and a plurality of layers, to obtain one of a plurality of desired effects.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
