Changing Table Cover
Abstract
A changing table cover is made from a material that forms a pocket, closed around a portion of its periphery and open around enough of the remaining periphery to accept one of any typical target changing tables. Part of the open peripheral edges optionally have disengageable fasteners. When the changing table cover is placed over a changing table, the inside surfaces of the pocket contacts the changing table while one of the outside surfaces contacts the child. When removed from the changing table, the inside surface remains contained and does not contact the outside surfaces, thereby reducing contamination from any undesirable material that was transmitted to the inside surfaces from the changing table. Preferably, the changing table cover folds into a pouch for ease of transportation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A changing table cover comprising:
an upper sheet of material shaped and sized to cover at least one typical changing table surface; and a lower sheet of material being of substantially similar size and shape as the upper sheet of material, the upper sheet of material joined to the lower sheet of material around a first portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material forming a pocket, a second portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material forming an opening, the opening large enough to accept the at least one typical changing table surface.
2 . The changing table cover of claim 1 , further comprising at least one temporary fastener situated on a portion of the second portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material.
3 . The changing table cover of claim 1 , wherein the shape of the upper sheet of material and of the lower sheet of material is substantially rectangular, the first portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material is two adjacent sides of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material, and the second portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material is a remaining two sides of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material that form the opening.
4 . The changing table cover of claim 1 , further comprising a pouch, the pouch interfaced to the first portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material; the pouch sized to accept the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material after the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are folded.
5 . The changing table cover of claim 4 , wherein the pouch interfaced to the first portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material.
6 . The changing table cover of claim 1 , wherein the the first portion of the periphery of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are joined by stitching.
7 . The changing table cover of claim 4 , wherein the pouch is a carrying device and the pouch includes a handle.
8 . The changing table cover of claim 4 , wherein the carrying device further comprises a second pouch for transporting accessory items.
9 . The changing table cover of claim 1 , wherein the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are made from fabric.
10 . The changing table cover of claim 9 , wherein the fabric comprises cotton.
11 . A changing table cover system comprising:
an upper sheet of material being of substantially rectangular shape and sized to cover a typical changing table surface; a lower sheet of material being of substantially rectangular shape and substantially similar size as the upper sheet of material, the upper sheet of material joined to the lower sheet of material at two adjacent edges forming a pocket, wherein a first edge of the two adjacent edges is longer than a second edge of the two adjacent edges; and a carrying device having a pouch, the pouch sized to accept the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material after the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are folded, the carrying device interfaced to the first edge.
12 . The changing table cover of claim 11 , further comprising at least one temporary fastener situated on a third edge of the pocket, the third edge of the pocket being located opposite of the second edge of the pocket.
13 . The changing table cover of claim 12 , wherein the fastener is hook and loop material.
14 . The changing table cover of claim 12 , wherein the pouch is interfaced to the first edge by stitching.
15 . The changing table cover of claim 12 , wherein the upper sheet of material is joined to the lower sheet of material at the two adjacent edges by stitching.
16 . The changing table cover of claim 11 , wherein the carrying device includes a handle.
17 . The changing table cover of claim 11 , wherein the carrying device further comprises a second pouch for transporting accessory items.
18 . The changing table cover of claim 11 , wherein the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are made from fabric.
19 . The changing table cover of claim 18 , wherein the fabric comprises cotton.
20 . A changing table cover system comprising:
an upper sheet of material being of substantially rectangular shape and sized to cover at least one typical changing table surface; a lower sheet of material being of substantially rectangular shape and substantially similar size as the upper sheet of material, the upper sheet of material joined to the lower sheet of material at two adjacent edges forming a pocket, wherein a first edge of the two adjacent edges is longer than a second edge of the two adjacent edges; a carrying device having a pouch, the pouch sized to accept the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material after the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material are folded, the carrying device interfaced to the first edge; at least one temporary fastener situated on a third edge of the pocket, the third edge of the pocket being located opposite of the second edge of the pocket; whereas, after removing from the at least one typical changing table and folding, inside surfaces of the upper sheet of material and lower sheet of material that contacted the at least one typical changing table, contact each other and do not contact outside surfaces of the upper sheet of material and the lower sheet of material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
