Abstract
A fluid collection security device for storing, securing and collecting fluids from a receptacle. The receptacle comprises a reservoir in its interior, a cover defining a siphon opening for accessing fluid within the receptacle, a trough or plate defining one or more drain openings for pouring fluid into the receptacle. The drain openings are designed so that siphon tubes and other fluid removal or theft devices cannot penetrate them. The device further includes a locking arrangement that only allows secured access to the siphon opening to remove fluid from the receptacle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fluid collection security device comprising:
a receptacle having a bottom wall, a top opening, and a plurality of side walls, wherein the bottom wall and the plurality of side walls define a receptacle interior; a cover configured to fit over part of the top opening of the receptacle; a trough having a sloped bottom wall, a plurality of trough side walls, and a drain opening, wherein the sloped bottom wall and the plurality of trough side walls define a trough interior, wherein at least a portion of the sloped bottom wall is disposed within the receptacle interior, and wherein the sloped bottom wall is angled relative to a horizontal plane and configured to receive a substance and move the substance to the drain opening.
2 . The fluid collection security device of claim 1 , further comprising a lid coupled to the trough.
3 . The fluid collection security device of claim 1 , wherein the cover includes a siphon opening.
4 . The fluid collection security device of claim 1 , further comprising a locking arrangement configured to lock part of the cover to part of the receptacle.
5 . The fluid collection security device of claim 1 , wherein there are four trough side walls and only three trough side walls couple to the sloped bottom wall.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
