Abstract

A valve assembly including a block forming a bore. An air inlet opening is in communication with the bore, and provides a volume of air into the bore. The bore provides communication between the air inlet opening and at least one air outlet passage. A fuel inlet opening is in communication with the bore, and provides a volume of fuel into the bore. The bore provides communication between the fuel inlet opening and at least one fuel outlet passage. A pintle is slidably positionable within the bore to control the volume of air directed out of the bore through the air outlet passage and the volume of fuel directed out of the bore through the fuel outlet passage.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A heat exchange comprising:
a heating unit; a burner including an extension extending from the heating unit, the extension connects with a winding positioned within the heating unit and the winding connects with a flue, the flue extends out of the heating unit; a valve assembly and an igniter connected to the extension of the burner, wherein the valve assembly discharges an air:fuel mixture into the burner in a centripetal vortex.

2 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the winding includes a circular portion to maintain the centripetal vortex.

3 . The heat exchange of claim 2 , wherein the winding includes at least three and a half turns.

4 . The heat exchange of claim 2 , wherein the winding further includes a straight portion extending from the circular portion.

5 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the winding includes a spiral portion extending upwards in an inverted helix.

6 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the burner includes at least one of a flare and a nozzle assembly to assist the formation of the centripetal vortex.

7 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the burner comprises an immersible burner.

8 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the heating unit comprises a hot water tank, the hot water tank includes a water inlet and a hot water outlet.

9 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , further comprising:
a control box connected to a gas inlet line, an air inlet line and an electrical connection, wherein the gas inlet line and the air inlet connect to the valve assembly and the electric line connects with the igniter.

10 . The heat exchange of claim 1 , wherein the valve assembly includes a fuel injector device.

         11 . A heat exchange comprising:
a heating unit; a burner including an extension extending from the heating unit and a winding positioned around the heating unit; a valve assembly and an igniter connected to the extension of the burner, wherein the valve assembly discharges an air:fuel mixture into the burner in a centripetal vortex.

12 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the winding includes a circular portion to maintain the centripetal vortex.

13 . The heat exchange of claim 12 , wherein the winding includes at least three and a half turns.

14 . The heat exchange of claim 12 , wherein the winding further includes a straight portion extending from the circular portion.

15 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the winding includes a spiral portion extending upwards in an inverted helix.

16 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the burner includes at least one of a flare and a nozzle assembly to assist the formation of the centripetal vortex.

17 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the heating unit comprises a hot water tank, the hot water tank includes a water inlet and a hot water outlet.

18 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the heating unit comprises one of a boiler and a pool.

19 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , further comprising:
a control box connected to a gas inlet line, an air inlet line and an electrical connection, wherein the gas inlet line and the air inlet connect to the valve assembly and the electric line connects with the igniter.

20 . The heat exchange of claim 11 , wherein the valve assembly includes a fuel injector device.
