Abstract
An interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system, with components constructed from a pants-like design concept that are used in conjunction with each other to form a system whereby parents and children can interact with the bedding ensemble system to educate, stimulate, develop, and train children in a variety of basic skills, and wherein these components incorporate design elements providing options whereby user can continuously customize the appearance of the bedding ensemble system.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system comprising:
a. A bed skirt component comprising a vertically extending drop portion that is sewn to three edges of a rectangular shaped flat portion of material that is dimensioned to horizontally overlay a box spring; said vertically extending drop portion extends along the vertical face of two sides and foot end of box spring and is dimensioned to extend down to a point touching or slightly above the floor; b. A duvet cover component comprising a top textile sheet which is preferably but not limited to denim and a bottom textile sheet which is 200 thread count or higher sheeting, that are sewn together on three sides about a common periphery with the un sewn side serving as the opening used to insert comforter; c. A pillow sham comprising a rectangular top textile sheet and a rectangular bottom textile sheet sewn together along the four sides of a common periphery. Said bottom textile sheet has an opening in the middle for insertion of a pillow; d. A decorative throw pillow comprising a decorative pillow cover portion and a separate removable stuffed pillow portion of which said decorative pillow cover portion is comprised of a front textile sheet and a back textile sheet sewn together along three sides of a common periphery whereas the three sides are more specifically the bottom and left and right sides and the top edge of said front and back textile sheets is joined together with a zipper whereas this zippered edge serves as the opening to insert the said removable stuffed pillow portion; e. A window dressing, comprising a valance portion and two drape portions; f. An embellishment kit comprising a wide variety of items including but not limited to embroidery patches, rhinestone appliqués, two-sided belts, and decorative trim strips all of which are used to customize and personalize bedding ensemble system to the taste of the user; wherein stated components of bedding ensemble used in conjunction with each other comprise a system whereby parents can teach and reinforce valuable character traits like discipline, patience, perseverance, neatness, and skills like organization, concentration, spelling, eye-hand coordination, and motor skills to their children, as well as a system whereby user can take advantage of countless options to personalize said bedding ensemble

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , wherein the components of said system are designed in multiple matching colors and patterns such that user can mix and match said components whereby providing a means for user to customize the said bedding ensemble in accordance to their personal taste.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , whereby said embellishment kit is personalized to each individual users taste by selecting from a wide variety of items including but not limited to embroideries, rhinestone appliqués, two-sided belts, and decorative trim strips.
4 . The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 3 , whereby said items selected by user to personalize said embellishment kit are used as tools for parents to teach and reinforce skills, character traits and concepts that children can use to become productive adults.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , whereby said embroideries of said embellishment kit are made from a variety of materials using modern computerized embroidery machines that are capable of converting the images in photographs and drawings into embroidery form and said embroideries are available in many different categories, including but not limited to, jungle animals, dinosaurs, puppies, flowers, bugs, planets, letters, numbers, fish, and sports balls, and whereby using a hook and loop dot fastening means provide user with a multitude of interchangeable decorative options.
6 . The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 5 , whereby said embroideries comprising many different categories can be used by parents to teach young children to spell, count and identify many different objects and animals.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , whereby the said two-sided belts of said embellishment kit comprise a top rectangular textile strip and a bottom rectangular textile strip of equal dimensions, said top and bottom textile strips are composed of different colors and patterns from each other and sewn together on four sides of a common periphery, thereby said two-sided belt can be reversibly used to provide user with additional decorative options for the said bedding ensemble system.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , whereby said bed skirt, said duvet cover, said pillow sham, said decorative stuff pillow, and said window dressing are constructed from a pants-like pattern and sewn together using the same machines and techniques used to make jeans.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 8 , whereby said pants-like pattern used for constructing the said bed skirt, said decorative throw pillow and said window dressing comprises buttons, rivets, zippers and pattern pieces to form fabric shapes including belt loops and pants pockets, such that by using the machines and techniques used in making jeans, the elements of said pants-like pattern can be constructed together whereby creating the intended finished pants design concept of said components of the bedding ensemble system.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 9 , whereby said pants pockets once incorporated into the said finished pants design concept provide a place for children to display their favorite stuffed animals as well as other collectable or small toys, and serve as a tool for parents to teach their children organization, and neatness concepts.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 9 whereby a plurality of said belts loops formed from the said pattern pieces of the said pants-like pattern are attached with stitching to the upper most edge of the said valence portion of said window dressing and the said vertical drop portion of said bed skirt at intervals of approximately six inches.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 11 whereby the plurality of said belt loops sewn to the upper most edge of said valence portion of said window dressing are used as a means to hang said valence portion over a window by inserting a hanging rod through the opening of each said belt loop.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 11 whereby the plurality of said belt loops sewn to the upper most edge of said vertical drop portion of said bed skirt are used as a means of attaching said two-sided belts to said bed skirt by passing said two-sided belts through the opening of said belt loops.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 13 whereby the physical activity of installing and changing said two-sided belts by passing them through the openings of said belt loops is an exercise that develops the dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and concentration of young children.
15 . The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 1 , whereby said duvet cover, said pillow sham and said window dressing all have a ⅜″ hook strip sewn with double stitching to the outer most edge in a strategic manner so that said hook strip can serve as a fastening means to attach said decorative trim strips of said embellishment kit.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 15 , whereby, said decorative trim strips fitted with ¼″ sticky back loop strip, when used in conjunction with said ⅜″ hook strip are interchangeable, and can be removed for cleaning of said ensemble components, and wherein hook and loop fastening system provides user the means to select from multiple interchangeable decorative options.

The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 16 , whereby said decorative trim strips of said embellishment kit comprise many styles of decorative trims including lace, beaded ribbons, jacquards, and embroidered with a width of at least ½″ and an underside fitted with a ¼″ sticky back loop strip whereby providing a means to attach said decorative trim strips to said ⅜″ hook strips.
18 . The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 17 whereby said ¼″ sticky back loop strip comprises a standard loop strip with rubber based adhesive glue and is applied by hand to the underside of said decorative trim strip.
19 . The interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system of claim 16 whereby the physical activity of installing and changing said decorative trim strips is an exercise that develops the dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and concentration skills, stimulates the creativity in children and is an activity that makes it fun to make the bed.

An interactive, customizable bedding ensemble system, comprising components constructed using a pants-like design concept, when used in conjunction with each other form a system whereby parents and children can interact with said bedding ensemble system to educate, stimulate, develop, and train children in a variety of basic skills, and wherein said components comprise design elements providing options whereby user can continuously customize the appearance of said bedding ensemble system.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
