Advection-Type Fan
Abstract
An advection-type fan includes a fan frame, a driving module and an impeller. The fan frame has a first cover portion, a second cover portion and a lateral wall portion arranged between the first and second cover portions, wherein the lateral wall portion has an air inlet and an air outlet. The driving module is received in the fan frame and coupled with the first cover portion. The impeller has a hub and a plurality of vanes. The hub is rotatably coupled with the driving module and the vanes are coupled with the hub. The hub has an air-guiding plane facing the second cover portion. Each of the vanes has a top edge facing the second cover portion. The top edge of each of the vanes is higher than the air-guiding plane of the hub in an axial direction of the hub.

a fan frame having a first cover portion, a second cover portion and a lateral wall portion arranged between the first and second cover portions, wherein the lateral wall portion has an air inlet and an air outlet; a driving module received in the fan frame and coupled with the first cover portion; and an impeller having a hub and a plurality of vanes, wherein the hub is rotatably coupled with the driving module, and the vanes are coupled with the hub; wherein the hub has an air-guiding plane facing the second cover portion while each of the vanes has a top edge facing the second cover portion, and the top edge of each of the vanes is higher than the air-guiding plane of the hub in an axial direction of the hub.
2 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the top edges of the vanes jointly define a horizontal reference plane, and an air-guiding room is formed between the horizontal reference plane and the air-guiding plane of the hub.
3 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the top edge of each of the vanes is spaced from the first cover portion by a first distance, the air-guiding plane of the hub is spaced from the first cover portion by a second distance, and the first distance is larger than the second distance.
4 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an extension direction from the top edges of the vanes to one end of the vanes connecting to the hub is parallel to the axial direction of the hub.
5 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an extension direction from the top edges of the vanes to one end of the vanes connecting to the hub is perpendicular to the air-guiding plane of the hub.
6 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the impeller further includes a reinforcing ring coupled with the vanes.
7 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the impeller further includes a guiding cambered face on a periphery of the hub.
8 . An advection-type fan, comprising:
a fan frame having a first cover portion, a second cover portion and a lateral wall portion arranged between the first and second cover portions, wherein the lateral wall portion has an air inlet and an air outlet; a driving module received in the fan frame and coupled with the first cover portion; and an impeller having a hub and a plurality of vanes, wherein the hub is rotatably coupled with the driving module, and the vanes are coupled with the hub; wherein the hub has an air-guiding protrusion facing the second cover portion, the air-guiding protrusion has at least one top point being an outmost point(s) of the impeller most adjacent to the second cover portion, each of the vanes has a top edge facing the second cover portion, and the top edge of each of the vanes is higher than the at least one top point of the hub in an axial direction of the hub.
9 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the air-guiding protrusion of the hub comprises a plane face and a lateral circumferential face, the at least one top point is located on the plane face, and the lateral circumferential face connects the plane face to other portion of the hub other than the air-guiding protrusion.
10 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the at least one top point is a single top point, and the air-guiding protrusion of the hub is a cambered face having a center at which the single top point is located.
11 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the top edges of the vanes jointly define a horizontal reference plane, and an air-guiding room is formed between the horizontal reference plane and the air-guiding protrusion of the hub.
12 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the top edge of each of the vanes is spaced from the first cover portion by a first distance, the at least one top point of the hub is spaced from the first cover portion by a second distance, and the first distance is larger than the second distance.
13 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein an extension direction from the top edges of the vanes to one end of the vanes connecting to the hub is parallel to the axial direction of the hub.
14 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the impeller further includes a reinforcing ring coupled with the vanes.
15 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the impeller further includes a guiding cambered face on a periphery of the hub.
16 . An advection-type fan, comprising:
a fan frame having a first cover portion, a second cover portion and a lateral wall portion arranged between the first and second cover portions, wherein the lateral wall portion has an air inlet and an air outlet; a driving module received in the fan frame and coupled with the first cover portion; and an impeller having a hub and a plurality of vanes, wherein the hub is rotatably coupled with the driving module, and the vanes are coupled with the hub; wherein the hub has a step portion facing the second cover portion, the step portion has a plurality of top faces with different height in an axial direction of the hub, each of the vanes has a top edge facing the second cover portion, and the top edge of each of the vanes is higher than one of the top faces that is closest to the second cover portion in the axial direction of the hub.
17 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the top edges of the vanes jointly define a horizontal reference plane, and an air-guiding room is formed between the horizontal reference plane and the top face closest to the second cover portion.
18 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the top edge of each of the vanes is spaced from the first cover portion by a first distance, the top face of the hub closest to the second cover portion is spaced from the first cover portion by a second distance, and the first distance is larger than the second distance.
19 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 16 , wherein an extension direction from the top edges of the vanes to one end of the vanes connecting to the hub is parallel to the axial direction of the hub.
20 . The advection-type fan as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the impeller further includes a reinforcing ring coupled with the vanes.
