Abstract
Systems and methods for identifying a recorded video program are provided. The method may include recording a video and identifying the video as lacking desirable recording attributes. A future occurrence of a transmission of the video may be automatically selected in response to the identification of the video as lacking desirable recording properties. The future occurrence of the transmission of the video may be automatically re-recorded.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 16 . (canceled)
17 . A method for recording video with an interactive media application, the method comprising:
identifying a video from a content source; recording the video with the interactive media application on a recording device; determining, from a detected user action, that the recorded video lacks a desirable recording attribute, wherein a lack of the desirable recording attribute adversely affects a user's viewing of the recorded video; and in response to the determination, automatically re-recording the video on the recording device.
18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising changing a database entry corresponding to the recorded video.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the detected user action comprises a user instruction to mark the video as lacking a desirable recording attribute.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein a video lacking a desirable recording attribute comprises a video with incorrect content, incorrect starting time, incorrect end time, interrupted recording, poor audio quality, or poor video quality.
21 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising alerting a user to modify recording options before re-recording the video.
22 . The method of claim 17 , wherein automatically re-recording the video comprises scheduling a future time for re-recording the video.
23 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising:
determining a first portion of the recorded video that lacks the desirable recording attribute; determining a second portion of the re-recording that corresponds to the first portion; and replacing the first portion with the second portion in the recorded video.
24 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising modifying recording settings for the re-recording the video.
25 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the recording settings include a quality setting, a start time, or an end time.
26 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising automatically applying pre-selected re-recording settings for re-recording the video.
27 . A system for recording video with an interactive media application, the system comprising a processor configured to:
identify a video from a content source; record the video with the interactive media application on a recording device; determine, from a detected user action, that the recorded video lacks a desirable recording attribute, wherein a lack of the desirable recording attribute adversely affects a user's viewing of the recorded video; and in response to the determination, automatically re-record the video on the recording device.
28 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to change a database entry corresponding to the recorded video.
29 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the detected user action comprises a user instruction to mark the video as lacking a desirable recording attribute.
30 . The system of claim 27 , wherein a video lacking a desirable recording attribute comprises a video with incorrect content, incorrect starting time, incorrect end time, interrupted recording, poor audio quality, or poor video quality.
31 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to alert a user to modify recording options before re-recording the video.
32 . The system of claim 27 , wherein automatically re-recording the video comprises scheduling a future time for re-recording the video.
33 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
determine a first portion of the recorded video that lacks the desirable recording attribute; determine a second portion of the re-recording that corresponds to the first portion; and replace the first portion with the second portion in the recorded video.
34 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to modify recording settings for the re-recording the video.
35 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the recording settings include a quality setting, a start time, or an end time.
36 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to automatically apply pre-selected re-recording settings for re-recording the video.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
