System and Method for Playing Craps with Associated Wagering Game
Abstract
Systems and methods for providing wagering games associated with an underlying game of craps include receiving a wager relating to the associated wagering game; receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, the dice roll result being one of a possible plurality of dice roll results in a series, wherein the number of dice roll results in the series depends on the dice roll result according to the rules of craps; determining if the series ends according to the rules of craps or continues; comparing the number of dice roll results in the series if the series continues with a preset number of dice roll results; providing a payout if the number of dice roll results is equal or greater than the preset number; and collecting the wager if the series ends.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of providing a wagering game associated with an underlying game of craps, comprising the steps of:
a) receiving a wager relating to the associated wagering game; b) receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, the dice roll result being one of a possible plurality of dice roll results in a series, wherein the number of dice roll results in the series depends on the dice roll result according to the rules of craps; c) determining if the series ends according to the rules of craps or continues; d) comparing the number of dice roll results in the series if the series continues with a preset number of dice roll results; e) providing a payout if the number of dice roll results is equal or greater than the preset number; and f) collecting the wager if the series ends.
2 . A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the step of receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, further includes operating a live game of craps with dice.
3 . A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the step of receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, further includes receiving data relating to a simulated game of craps.
4 . A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the step of providing a payout if the number of dice roll results is equal or greater than the preset number further includes providing a monetary award.
5 . A method as recited in claim 4 , wherein the monetary award is a portion of an incrementally increasing progressive pool.
6 . A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the wager is received electronically.
7 . A system for providing a wagering game associated with an underlying game of craps, comprising:
a) a communication interface configured for:
(i) receiving a wager relating to the associated wagering game;
(ii) receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, the dice roll result being one of a possible plurality of dice roll results in a series, wherein the number of dice roll results in the series depends on the dice roll result according to the rules of craps; and
b) a processor configured for:
(i) determining if the series ends according to the rules of craps or continues;
(ii) comparing the number of dice roll results in the series if the series continues with a preset number of dice roll results,
wherein the communication interface is configured for providing notification of a payout if the number of dice roll results is equal or greater than the preset number and providing notification that the wager is collected if the processor determines that the series ends.
8 . A system as recited in claim 7 , wherein a processor conducts the underlying game of craps.
9 . A system as recited in claim 7 , further comprising means for conducting the underlying game of craps.
10 . A system as recited in claim 8 , wherein the means for conducting the underlying game of craps includes physical dice.
11 . A system as recited in claim 8 , wherein the means for conducting the underlying game of craps includes a random number generator.
12 . A system as recited in claim 7 , further comprising a display configured for displaying the results of the wager in the associated wagering game.
13 . A system as recited in claim 7 , wherein the communication interface and processor are mounted in a unitary housing.
14 . A system according to claim 7 , wherein the processor is remotely located from the communication interface.
15 . A machine readable media for providing a wagering game associated with an underlying game of craps, comprising data and code segments for:
a) receiving a wager relating to the associated wagering game; b) receiving a dice roll result from an instance of playing the game of craps, the dice roll result being one of a possible plurality of dice roll results in a series, wherein the number of dice roll results in the series depends on the dice roll result according to the rules of craps; c) determining if the series ends according to the rules of craps or continues; d) comparing the number of dice roll results in the series if the series continues with a preset number of dice roll results; e) providing a payout if the number of dice roll results is equal or greater than the preset number; and f) collecting the wager if the series ends.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
