Abstract
A lubricating oil composition includes an antibacterial composition, a corrosion preventive, petroleum naphtha, optionally a solvent, and the balance being an oil. The lubricating oil composition may also include acetone. A process for lubricating an object includes the steps of: providing a lubricating oil composition comprising an antibacterial composition, a corrosion preventive, petroleum naphtha, optionally a solvent, optionally acetone, and the balance being an oil; and applying the lubricating oil composition to a surface of the object.

2 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is present in an amount from 3.0-6.0 vol %.
3 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is selected from the group consisting of a polychloro phenoxy phenol, a 3,4,4′-trichlorocarbonilide, benzylkonium chloride, and a 4-chloro-3, 5 dimethylphenol composition.
4 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is a polychloro phenoxy phenol.
5 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is a 3,4,4′-trichlorocarbonilide.
6 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is benzylkonium chloride.
7 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said antibacterial composition is a 4-chloro-3, 5 dimethylphenol composition.
8 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said hydrocarbon oil-based corrosion preventive is present in an amount from 6.0 to 12 vol %.
9 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said petroleum naphtha is present in an amount from 3.0 to 7.0 vol %.
10 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said petroleum naphtha is selected from the group consisting of petroleum naphtha hydrotreated heavy and petroleum naphtha light alkylate.
11 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said petroleum naptha is petroleum naptha hydrotreated heavy.
12 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein said petroleum naphtha is petroleum naphtha light alkylate.
13 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said solvent is present in an amount from 6.0 to 15 vol %.
14 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said solvent is an alkaline isoparaffinic hydrocarbon solvent.
15 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said oil is present in an amount from 65 to 78 vol %.
16 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said oil is selected from the group consisting of methyl palmitate/oleate ester derived from coconut oil and a methyl ester derived from soybean oil.
17 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said oil is methyl palmitate/oleate ester derived from coconut oil.
18 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , wherein said oil is methyl ester derived from soybean oil.
19 . The lubricating oil composition of claim 1 , optionally containing from 1.0 to 3.0 vol % acetone.
20 . A lubricating oil composition consisting of an antibacterial composition, a corrosion preventive, petroleum naphtha, optionally a solvent, optionally acetone, and the balance being an oil.
21 . A process for lubricating an object, said process comprising the steps of:
providing a lubricating oil composition comprising an antibacterial composition, a corrosion preventive, petroleum naphtha, optionally a solvent, and the balance being an oil; and applying said lubricating oil composition to a surface of said object.

The process of claim 21 , wherein said providing step comprises mixing a lubricating oil composition comprising from 3.0 to 6.0 vol % of said antibacterial composition, from 6.0 to 12 vol % of said corrosion preventive, from 3. to 7.0 vol % of said petroleum naptha, optionally from 6.0 to 15 vol % of said solvent, and the balance said oil
23 . The process of claim 22 , further comprising selecting said antibacterial composition from the group consisting of a polychloro phenoxy phenol, a 3,4,4′-trichlorocarbonilide, benzylkonium chloride, and a 4-chloro-3, 5 dimethylphenol composition.
24 . The process of claim 22 , further comprising selecting said petroleum naphtha from the group consisting of petroleum naphtha hydrotreated heavy and petroleum naphtha light alkylate.
25 . The process of claim 22 , further comprising using an alkaline isoparaffinic hydrocarbon solvent as said solvent.
26 . The process of claim 22 , further comprising selecting said oil from the group consisting of methyl palmitate/oleate ester derived from coconut oil and a methyl ester derived from soybean oil.
27 . The process of claim 22 , further comprising providing said oil in an amount from 65 to 78 vol %.
