Extra Caddy Golf Accessory

Abstract

A golf accessory useful in carrying golf clubs which comprises a lightweight wraparound sleeve for ensheathing the shafts of the golf clubs and a handle attached to the sleeve. Also disclosed are methods of use of the accessory in the sport of golf.

1 . A carrying system for golf clubs, which comprises a wraparound sleeve formed of a soft, flexible sheet having generally rectilinear dimensions of length and width, said length being greater than said width, and having a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, an external side, an internal side, and a centerline on its length, wherein
 a) a carrying handle is attached at said centerline on said external side;   b) a contact fastener having a polyhooked member disposed on said external surface at said first lateral edge and a polylooped member disposed on said internal surface at said second lateral edge such that said first lateral edge is reversibly attachable inside said second lateral edge;   and further wherein said wraparound sleeve is dimensioned for adjustably wrapping the sleeve around a plurality of golf clubs at their shafts so that the golf clubs may be carried by said handle.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a shoulder strap affixed to said wraparound sleeve. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein said contact fastener is a VELCRO® fastener. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein said system includes a clip for securing said wraparound sleeve to a golf bag or a golf cart. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a bootie for protecting the grips of the golf clubs, wherein the bootie is attached to the wraparound sleeve by a tether. 
     
     
         6 . A method for golfing, which comprises:
 a) providing a system of  claim 1  to a golfer, wherein said wraparound sleeve is dimensioned for carrying two to six clubs, including a putter and at least one iron; and,   b) completing a round of golf with said two to six clubs, while carrying said clubs in said wraparound sleeve when not in use.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein said clubs include a putter, a driver, a first iron and a second iron.
