Abstract
A method of preparing a dry bulk carrier for sand transportation and fluidized unloading including disposing within a utility hold, fluidizing pipes having inflow openings and also a slurry inlet for fluidized sand, wherein the method further includes disposing a slurry pump connected between a slurry inlet and an unloading pipe, and where the slurry pump is placed in a hold adjacent to the utility hold.

A method of preparing a dry bulk carrier for sand transportation and fluidized unloading comprising disposing within a utility hold, fluidizing pipes having inflow openings and also a slurry inlet for fluidized sand, wherein the method further comprises disposing a slurry pump connected between a slurry inlet and an unloading pipe, and where the slurry pump is placed in a hold adjacent to the utility hold.
2 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises disposing a slurry inlet in a bulkhead between holds.
3 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises disposing, on the dry bulk carrier, a water pump to be connected between a water inlet and the fluidizing pipe.
4 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: disposing fluidizing pipes having inflow openings on the wall of the utility hold.
5 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: disposing air injection pipes in the utility hold.
6 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises letting the unloading pipe discharge at the dry bulk carrier.
7 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: connecting the unloading pipe to a conveying pipe.
8 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: disposing at least one drainage column in the utility hold.
9 . The method in accordance with claim 7 , wherein the method further comprises: connecting the drainage column to the slurry pump.
