Abstract

A storage apparatus has a storage structure with at least a part thereof being formed to have and maintain a non-flat configuration during use. The part is formed substantially of a full hard, cold rolled steel material.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A storage apparatus comprising:
a storage structure having at least a part thereof being formed to have and maintain a non-flat configuration during use, wherein the part is formed substantially of a full hard, cold rolled steel material.

         2 . A storage apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a shelf; and a shelf support structure supporting the shelf fully assembled and/or installed, wherein the shelf support structure is the part formed substantially of a full hard steel material.

3 . A storage apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein at least part of the shelf is formed of a full hard steel material.

4 . A storage apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the shelf support structure includes components having 3-dimensional bends or curves, wherein the components are formed of the full hard steel material.

5 . A storage apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the shelf support structure further includes a plurality of uprights each formed of the full hard steel material and mounted to a wall surface, and wherein the plurality of mounting brackets are mounted to the plurality of uprights in a cantilevered arrangement.

6 . A storage apparatus according to claim 5 , further including a horizontal top rail formed from the full hard steel material and mounted to the wall surface, wherein the plurality of uprights are suspended from the top rail.

7 . A storage apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein each of the plurality of uprights has a U-shaped cross section including a front wall with a series of spaced apart mounting holes therethrough and a pair of sidewalls extending from opposed edges of the front wall and oriented at about a 90° angle relative to the front wall.

8 . A storage apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the storage structure is a free-standing shelving unit with a shelf support structure including a plurality of vertical legs each formed of the full hard steel material.

9 . A storage apparatus according to claim 8 , further comprising a plurality of shelves, wherein at least part of each shelf is formed of the full hard steel material.

10 . A storage apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is a wall mounted unit with a shelf support structure including a plurality of mounting brackets each constructed of the full hard steel material and mounted to a wall surface supporting the shelf.

11 . A storage apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein each of the plurality of mounting brackets has a pair of spaced apart sidewalls oriented generally parallel to one another and interconnected to one another by an integral bend along a common edge.

12 . A storage apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the plurality of mounting brackets each have a pair of spaced apart walls and a generally U-shaped configuration.

13 . A storage apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the full hard steel material meets the ASTM A 109 Temper No. 1 (Hard) standard.

14 . An organizer system comprising:
a plurality of shelves; a horizontal top support rail mounted to a wall, and maintaining a non-flat configuration; a plurality of upright risers suspended from the top support rail and mounted to the wall, each of the plurality of upright risers having a plurality of mounting openings in a front wall and having a pair of sides extending from opposed edges of the front wall and maintaining a non-flat orientation relative to the front face; and a plurality of shelf mounting brackets mounted to the upright risers using selected ones of the openings, each of the plurality of mounting brackets maintaining a non-flat configuration, wherein the horizontal top support rail, the plurality of upright risers, and the plurality of shelf mounting brackets are formed substantially of a full hard steel material meeting the ASTM A 109 Temper No. 1 (Hard) material standard.

15 . A organizer according to claim 14 , wherein the sides on each of the plurality of upright risers is oriented at about a 90° angle relative to the front face.

16 . A organizer according to claim 14 , wherein each of the plurality of shelf mounting brackets has a pair of spaced apart sidewalls oriented generally parallel to one another and interconnected along to one another along an integral bend.

17 . A organizer according to claim 14 , wherein the horizontal top support rail has a lengthwise axis and is curved or non-flat about the lengthwise axis.

18 . An organizer system comprising:
a plurality of shelves; a horizontal top support rail mounted to a wall, and maintaining a non-flat configuration; a plurality of upright risers suspended from the top support rail and mounted to the wall, each of the plurality of upright risers having a plurality of mounting openings in a front wall and having a pair of sides extending from opposed edges of the front wall and maintaining a non-flat orientation relative to the front face; and a plurality of shelf mounting brackets mounted to the upright risers using selected ones of the openings, each of the plurality of mounting brackets maintaining a non-flat configuration, wherein the horizontal top support rail, the plurality of upright risers, and the plurality of shelf mounting brackets are each formed substantially of a full hard, cold rolled steel material.
