Attachment and hanging accessories for handbags to hang on flat surfaces

Abstract

Some embodiments provide an attachment for a handbag, the attachment comprising: (a) a latch for coupling the attachment to the handbag; and (b) at least one ornament with a fastener for attaching the ornament to a vertical surface to elevate the handbag from contacting a surface below.

1 . An attachment for a handbag, the attachment comprising:
 a latch for coupling the attachment to the handbag; and   at least one ornament with a fastener for attaching the ornament to a vertical surface to elevate the handbag from contacting a surface below.   
     
     
         2 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is a suction cup. 
     
     
         3 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the ornament is a first ornament, and the attachment further comprising a second ornament. 
     
     
         4 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the ornament is a hook in the shape of an S. 
     
     
         5 . The attachment of  claim 3 , wherein the second ornament comprises a hook for elevating an article from contacting a surface from below. 
     
     
         6 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener comprises a hook for coupling to an extension protruding from the vertical surface. 
     
     
         7 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener extends from a back side of the ornament, wherein a front side of the ornament comprises a decorative form for obscuring the fastener from view. 
     
     
         8 . The attachment of  claim 1  further comprising a ring and a set of chains, each chain for coupling at least one of the latch and ornament to the ring. 
     
     
         9 . A handbag holder comprising:
 a ring;   a fastener flexibly linked to the ring, the fastener for attaching the handbag holder to a handbag; and   a plurality of extensions flexibly linked to the ring, each extension comprising an adornment, wherein at least one particular adornment comprises a suction cup that attaches to a vertical surface to vertically suspend the handbag from the extension associated with the particular adornment comprising the suction cup.   
     
     
         10 . An attachment to a handbag comprising:
 a securing means comprising at least one of a set of:   a base for coupling the attachment to a flat surface;   a gripping latch; and   a fastening mechanism;   a handbag holder comprising at least one of a set of:   a clasp;   a chain; and   a decorative element;   a jewelry accessory comprising at least one of a set of:   a decorative charm;   a releaseable hanger; and   a hook.   
     
     
         11 . A method for hanging a bag on to a flat surface, the method comprising:
 attaching a latch to a flat surface wherein the latch latches on to the surface;   attaching a handbag to the latch;   hanging the handbag; and   elevating the handbag from contacting a surface below.
