Abstract

A method for a downloadable personalization content manager to present media content on a communication device of a user includes the downloadable personalization content manager receiving video content and in response to a non-call activating event, the downloadable personalization content manager enabling presentation of said video content to take precedence over the activating of other applications for said non-call activating event.

1 . A method for a downloadable personalization content manager to present media content on a communication device of a user, the communication device having multiple applications as part of its feature set, the method comprising:
 the downloadable personalization content manager receiving video content; and   in response to a non-call activating event, the downloadable personalization content manager enabling presentation of said video content to take precedence over the activating of other applications for said non-call activating event.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1  and wherein said enabling comprises raising the z-order priority of a window for said presentation. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1  and wherein said enabling comprises providing a higher process priority to said personalization content manager than that of said other applications. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1  and wherein said non-call activating event is an email, SMS, instant message or voice over IP (VoIP) communication. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 4  and wherein said non-call activating event is a function of the timing, length or contents of said communication. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 4  and wherein said non-call activating event is a function of the identity or presence state of an initiating entity of said communication.
