Abstract
A parallel wire cable is produced from a plurality of wires arranged in a bundle for use as a structural cable. Each wire in the plurality of wires is parallel to every other wire in the bundle, and each wire in the plurality of wires is individually tensioned to a tension value.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A manufacture, comprising:
a plurality of wires arranged in a bundle as a structural cable, each wire in the plurality of wires parallel to every other wire in the bundle, and each wire in the plurality of wires individually tensioned to a tension value.
2 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires has a length.
3 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , further comprising means for securing an outer circumference of the plurality of wires to maintain the tension value in each wire.
4 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is metallic.
5 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is individually tensioned to a nominal value.
6 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is individually tensioned to a variance about the tension value.
7 . The manufacture according to claim 1 , further comprising an attachment at an end of the structural cable.
8 . A manufacture, comprising:
a plurality of wires arranged in a bundle as a structural cable, each wire in the plurality of wires parallel to every other wire in the bundle, each wire in the plurality of wires equal in length to every other wire in the bundle, and each wire in the plurality of wires individually tensioned to a tension value.
9 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires has a length.
10 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires has an equal length.
11 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is metallic.
12 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is individually tensioned to a nominal value.
13 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , wherein each wire in the plurality of wires is individually tensioned to a variance about the tension value.
14 . The manufacture according to claim 8 , further comprising an attachment at an end of the structural cable.
15 . A process, comprising:
i) frictionally holding an end of a wire of a structural cable; ii) pulling an opposite end of the wire to a tension value; iii) frictionally holding the opposite end of the wire to maintain the tension value; and iv) repeating i) through iv) for each parallel wire of a plurality of wires in the structural cable.
16 . The process according to claim 15 , further comprising cutting the structural cable to a length.
17 . The process according to claim 15 , further comprising adding an attachment to an end of the structural cable.
18 . The process according to claim 15 , further comprising adding a corrosion inhibitor to the wire.
19 . The process according to claim 15 , further comprising adding a corrosion inhibitor to the structural cable.
20 . The process according to claim 15 , further comprising bundling the plurality of wires.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
