Abstract
A garment hanger having a hanger hook is disclosed. The garment hanger has an insert therein wherein the hook may be inserted into the body of its hanger to facilitate the nesting of one hanger with the other like hanger and the insert is secured in the hanger by having the hanger hook fit into a notch in the insert.

An insert for a garment hanger, the garment hanger having a hanger hook attached thereto, wherein the insert comprises a body having a cascade hook on one side, a flange on an opposite side, a hole therethrough, wherein the hole is sized to receive another hook from a corresponding insert, and a notch for receiving the hanger hook therein.
2 . The insert of claim 1 , wherein the hanger hook is glued into the notch.
3 . The insert of claim 1 , wherein the hanger hook is screwed into the notch.
4 . The insert of claim 1 , wherein the hanger hook is press-fit into the notch.
5 . The insert of claim 1 , wherein the cascade hook has an inclined portion, a vertical portion, and a concavity therebetween.
6 . The insert of claim 5 , wherein the inclined portion is at an angle of less than 90 degrees from the vertical.
7 . The insert of claim 6 , wherein the cascade hook has an arcuate top portion.
8 . A garment hanger, comprising:
a. a hanger body having a hanger hook attached thereto, a front surface, a rear surface, and a hole therethrough; and b. an insert positioned within the hole of the hanger body, wherein said insert has a cascade hook.
9 . The garment hanger of claim 8 , wherein the insert is glued into the hole of the hanger body.
10 . The garment hanger of claim 8 , wherein the insert is screwed into the hole of the hanger body.
11 . The garment hanger of claim 8 , wherein the insert is press-fit into the hole of the hanger body.
12 . The garment hanger of claim 8 , wherein the cascade hook has an inclined portion, a vertical portion, and a concavity therebetween.
13 . The garment hanger of claim 12 , wherein the inclined portion is at an angle of less than 90 degrees from the vertical.
14 . The garment hanger of claim 13 , wherein the cascade hook has an arcuate top portion.
15 . A pair of substantially identical nested first and second garment hangers, each of said first and second garment hanger having a hanger hook attached thereto, wherein the hangers comprise:
a. a hanger body having a front surface, a rear surface, and a hole therethrough; and b. an insert positioned within the hole to the hanger body, wherein said insert has:
i. an insert hook on one side thereof:
ii. a hole therethrough, wherein the hole in the insert is sized to receive another insert hook from a corresponding insert; and
iii. a notch for receiving said hanger hook therein.
16 . The pair of substantially identical nested first and second garment hangers of claim 15 , wherein the hanger hook is glued into the notch.
17 . The pair of substantially identical nested first and second garment hangers of claim 15 , wherein the hanger hook is screwed into the notch.
18 . The pair of substantially identical nested first and second garment hangers of claim 15 , wherein the hanger hook is press-fit into the notch.
19 . The pair of substantially identical nested first and second garment hangers of claim 15 , wherein the insert hooks have an inclined portion, a vertical portion, and a concavity therebetween.
