Abstract

A gripping method for a turbocharger housing used to process a turbocharger housing formed by casting, includes a scroll formed in a spiral shape from an axial center, and a large diameter hole and a small diameter hole provided along an axial direction of the scroll with space therebetween, such as to face each other. After positioning of the turbocharger housing is performed using an end surface of the large diameter hole facing the small diameter hole as a reference surface for positioning in the axial direction, an inner diameter of the large diameter hole is gripped.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 : A gripping method for a turbocharger housing used to process a turbocharger housing formed by casting, including a scroll formed in a spiral shape from an axial center, and a large diameter hole and a small diameter hole provided along an axial direction of the scroll with space therebetween, such as to face each other, the gripping method for a turbocharger housing wherein:
after positioning of the turbocharger housing is performed using an end surface of the large diameter hole facing the small diameter hole as a reference surface for positioning in the axial direction, an inner diameter of the large diameter hole is gripped.

2 : The gripping method for a turbocharger housing according to claim 1 , wherein:
before the positioning using the end surface of the large diameter hole facing the small diameter hole as the reference surface for positioning in the axial direction, pre-positioning of the turbocharger housing in the axial direction is performed using an end surface of the small diameter hole facing the large diameter hole as a reference surface for pre-positioning in the axial direction.
