Disposable diaper

Abstract

Front and rear waist regions of a diaper having a waist-hole of which a peripheral edge is elastically stretchable in a circumferential direction respectively include covering zones and elastic zones adapted to be stretchable beyond lengths of the covering zones in the circumferential direction.

         8 . 1. A disposable diaper having a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region extending therebetween, at least one of said front and rear waist regions having an edge zone thereof extending in a circumferential direction provided along the full length of said edge zone with an elastic stretchability, wherein:
 said front and rear waist regions each comprises a covering zone formed integrally with said crotch region to cover the waist region of the diaper wearer and an elastic zone attached along an upper edge of said covering zone and, adapted to be elastically stretchable in said circumstantial direction; and   said elastic zone comprises a first member adapted to be elastically stretchable in said circumferential direction to a length beyond the length of said covering zone and a second member adapted to be inelastically stretchable a length beyond the length of said covering zone and to be attached to said edge of said covering zone,   said second member comprises a pair of cover members between which said first member is sandwiched and said covering zone is elastically stretchable in said circumferential direction and has a stretch stress higher than a stretch stress of said elastic zone when said elastic zone is stretched by 30-20% in a portion of said covering zone extending along said elastic zone is stretched by 3-20% in a portion of said covering zone extending along said elastic zone and having a same width as said elastic zone.

The diaper according to  claim 8 , said first member is secured to said second member at least at longitudinally opposite end of said second member and a length between said opposite ends of said second member is intermittently or continuously bonded to an inner side of said cover members.

The diaper according to  claim 8 , wherein each of said leg-holes comprises a covering zone integral with said crotch region and a continuous elastic zone extending along a full length in a circumferential direction of each of said leg-holes, said elastic zone including a third member that is elastically stretchable in said circumferential direction of each of said leg-holes and a fourth member securing and covering said third member, said fourth member being inelastically stretchable to a length greater than said length in said circumferential direction of each of said leg-holes and joined to an outer side edge of each of said leg-holes.
