Ping Pong Pool Table

Abstract

A ping-pong pool table includes a front panel having a rectangular shape. The front panel has a front panel table tennis position at 0° and a front panel billiards table position at approximately 270° or greater. The front panel has a table tennis playing surface on a front panel inside face when the front panel is in the front panel table tennis position. The rear panel has a rectangular shape, and the rear panel has a rear panel table tennis position at 0° and a rear panel billiards table position at approximately 270° or greater. The rear panel has a table tennis playing surface on a rear panel inside face when the rear panel is in the rear panel table tennis position. The game table frame has a billiards table bed, billiards table pockets, and a billiards table rail.

1 . A ping-pong pool table comprising:
 a. a front panel having a rectangular shape, wherein the front panel has a front panel table tennis position at 0° and a front panel billiards table position at approximately 270° or greater, wherein the front panel has a table tennis playing surface on a front panel inside face when the front panel is in the front panel table tennis position;   b. a rear panel having a rectangular shape, wherein the rear panel has a rear panel table tennis position at 0° and a rear panel billiards table position at approximately 270° or greater, wherein the rear panel has a table tennis playing surface on a rear panel inside face when the rear panel is in the rear panel table tennis position;   c. a game table frame having a billiards table bed, billiards table pockets, and a billiards table rail;   d. a front hinged connection connecting and providing a front pivotal connection between a front side of the game table frame and the front panel;   e. a rear hinged connection connecting and providing a rear pivotal connection between a rear side of the game table frame and the rear panel;   f. a game table leg supporting the game table frame; and   g. a table tennis net frame retainer retaining a table tennis net frame onto the game table frame when the table is in a table tennis mode, wherein the table tennis net frame supports a table tennis net that extends horizontally across the game table frame.   
     
     
         2 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the rear panel table tennis position is 0° and the rear panel billiards table position is greater than 270°; and wherein the front panel table tennis position is 0° and the front billiards table position is greater than 270°. 
     
     
         3 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the table tennis mode table height is about 76 centimeters, but the billiards table mode table height is less than the table tennis mode table height. 
     
     
         4 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the billiards table mode table height is in between about 74.3 centimeters and 78.7 centimeters, but the billiards table mode table height is less than the table tennis mode table height. 
     
     
         5 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the front hinged connection and the rear hinged connection both allow pivotal movement. 
     
     
         6 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector located near a front panel bottom edge for connecting the front panel to the game table leg. 
     
     
         7 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector for connecting the front panel to the game table leg, wherein the front panel connector is a magnetic latch. 
     
     
         8 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 1 , wherein the front hinged connection and the rear hinged connection both allow pivotal movement, wherein the rear panel table tennis position is 0° and the rear panel billiards table position is greater than 270°; and wherein the front panel table tennis position is 0° and the front billiards table position is greater than 270°, and further comprising a billiard return opening providing access to a billiard ball retaining slot formed on the game table frame. 
     
     
         9 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 8 , wherein the table tennis mode table height is about 76 centimeters, but the billiards table mode table height is less than the table tennis mode table height. 
     
     
         10 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 9 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector located near a front panel bottom edge for connecting the front panel to the game table leg. 
     
     
         11 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 9 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector for connecting the front panel to the game table leg, wherein the front panel connector is a magnetic latch. 
     
     
         12 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 8 , wherein the billiards table mode table height is in between about 74.3 centimeters and 78.7 centimeters, but the billiards table mode table height is less than the table tennis mode table height. 
     
     
         13 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 12 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector located near a front panel bottom edge for connecting the front panel to the game table leg. 
     
     
         14 . The ping-pong pool table of  claim 12 , wherein the front panel has a front panel connector for connecting the front panel to the game table leg, wherein the front panel connector is a magnetic latch.
