Process for allowing users to make a pick or picks for one or more sporting events and receive a pre-determined amount of points, cash, or other reward based on the accuracy of that pick or those picks

Abstract

Current games and wagering based on sporting events or other competitions provide rewards only for perfectly correct picks. The invention solves this problem by providing rewards, in the form of points, cash, prizes, merchandise, privileges, or any other compensation, for picks that are not perfectly correct with regard to the winner (or predicted finishing position) of the event.

A process for rewarding points, cash, merchandise, privileges, or other rewards for at least one pick or wager from at least one user for at least one sporting event or other competition or other event based on the accuracy of those picks but not solely on the correctness of the picks. 
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1  where the at least one pick or wager is multiple picks or wagers for the at least one sporting event or other competition. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2  where the at least one user is multiple users. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1  where the at least one user is multiple users. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1  where the at least one sporting event or other competition is multiple sporting events or other competitions occurring over a pre-determined period of time. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5  where points, cash, merchandise, privileges, or other rewards awarded to the at least one user are accumulated over the period of time. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6  where the at least one user is multiple users. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1  where the at least one sporting event or other competition is multiple sporting events or other competitions, and rewards, including points, cash, merchandise, privileges, or other rewards, are awarded to each user until a user accumulates a specified value or number of rewards received. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8  where the at least one user is multiple users. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1  where the at least one pick or wager is randomly assigned to the at least one user. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 2  where the at least one pick or wager is randomly assigned to the at least one user.
