Abstract

An image display apparatus includes an image input unit which inputs an image from an image capturing device, a display control unit which displays an identification for identifying the input image or its input destination, and keeps the identification without canceling even when an operation is performed for another image after inputting the image, and a canceling unit which cancels the identification when a predetermined operation other than the operation for another image is performed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An image display apparatus comprising:
a memory; and a processor, executing the following: an obtaining step of obtaining an image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image obtained before the latest N images obtained in said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying a first image obtained during one of the latest N executions of said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and
a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when more than N executions of said obtaining step have been performed after the first image was obtained.

2 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein in said display control step, the first image is displayed with a predetermined mark which is different depending on in which of the latest N executions the first image was obtained, and the second image is displayed without the predetermined mark.

3 . An image display apparatus comprising:
a memory; and a processor, executing the following: an obtaining step of obtaining a first image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image, where a predetermined time has elapsed from when the second image was obtained, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying the first image, where the predetermined time has not elapsed from when the first image was obtained, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and
a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when the predetermined time has elapsed from when the first image was obtained.

4 . The apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein in said display control step, the first image is displayed with a predetermined mark which is different depending on the time elapsed from when the first image was obtained, and the second image is displayed without the predetermined mark.

5 . A method for controlling an image display apparatus, said method comprising:
an obtaining step of obtaining an image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image obtained before the latest N images obtained in said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying a first image obtained during one of the latest N executions of said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and

a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when more than N executions of said obtaining step have been performed after the first image was obtained.

6 . A method for controlling an image display apparatus, said method comprising:
an obtaining step of obtaining a first image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image, where a predetermined time has elapsed from when the second image was obtained, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying the first image, where the predetermined time has not elapsed from when the first image was obtained, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and
a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when the predetermined time has elapsed from when the first image was obtained.

7 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform a method for controlling an image display apparatus, said method comprising the steps of:
an obtaining step of obtaining an image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image obtained before the latest N images obtained in said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying a first image obtained during one of the latest N executions of said obtaining step, where N is a predetermined number, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and
a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when more than N executions of said obtaining step have been performed after the first image was obtained.

8 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform a method for controlling an image display apparatus, said method comprising the steps of:
an obtaining step of obtaining a first image from an image capturing device; a display control step of automatically
displaying a second image, where a predetermined time has elapsed from when the second image was obtained, in a second way which does not indicate a newly input status,
displaying the first image, where the predetermined time has not elapsed from when the first image was obtained, in a first way which indicates the newly input status, and
continuing displaying the first and second images in the first and second ways, respectively, regardless of whether the displayed first image is selected or deselected by a user; and a canceling step of automatically canceling the display of the first image in the first way without deleting the first image when the predetermined time has elapsed from when the first image was obtained.
